Welcome yourself to this space.
As you are either seated or perhaps lying down on the floor,
We'll start together to put some awareness on the breath.
This practice is about observing the coming and going of the breath.
As you are,
See if you can start to observe how your feet are connected to the floor.
Start to find some sensations in your toes,
In the backs and tops of your feet.
And see if you can observe anything moving in those parts with your breath.
Do a gentle scan of your body and observe your knees.
Are your knees heavy towards the floor?
Are they in contact with the floor towards gravity?
And see your breath.
How can with your breath you can soften something on the back of your knees?
Then come up towards your belly and observe if the next breath can soften something in your belly.
You're scanning through the body,
Observing the breath in different places of the body.
And put your awareness in your shoulders.
Observe.
There's some gentle lifting and flowing of energy when you breathe in.
And what happens in your shoulders when you breathe out.
As you are seated or lying down,
Spending this moment of breath awareness meditation,
See if you can swallow a couple of times.
Seeing awareness in your throat,
Observing with your next breath when it comes,
There's softness in that area.
Softening all the way through your shoulders and the back of your head.
And observe the breath that comes in through the nose and some awareness into your nostrils.
Observing lastly the temperature of the breath that comes in,
The temperature and quality of the breath that comes out.
We will keep this awareness.
Awareness of the breath that comes in through the nose and softens the whole body.
Keeping awareness of the breath that comes out of the nose and softens the whole body.
Deepening the awareness of the breath and awareness of the soft and relaxed body.
As you are deepening the experience of the breath and perhaps welcoming a full inhalation,
Follow like an open mouth exhalation.
And where you are,
Bring palms together in front of your heart.
Basically move your hands so you make some kind of heat with them.
Then place the palms of your hands on top of your eyes.
Gently feel the warmth of your hands,
Open your eyes and welcome yourself to the space.
