This Yoga Nidra with binaural beats is designed to help you explore, connect to and sense your vibrational body. This is often the first step in having an out-of-body experience (OBE). Using yoga Nidra to allow the body to deeply relax while keeping the mind awake, you can connect to that part of you that’s able to experience beyond the limits of the physical body. For me, this has been the foundational step to successfully inducing OBEs.

Namaste.

I'm Rosalie and this is a yoga nidra designed to help you explore,

Connect to and sense your vibrational body,

The part of you that's able to experience beyond the limits of the physical body.

By allowing your body to deeply relax whilst you keep your mind awake,

You can connect to and sense that more subtle part of you.

Know that whatever experience you have in this session today is the perfect one for you at this time.

Even if you drop away and have a deep sleep,

That's exactly what you need.

To begin,

Come to rest in your warm and cozy yoga nidra nest.

Settle in and use any props you might need to help you feel warm,

Comfortable and cocooned.

Perhaps you might like a blanket to cover yourself with,

Something over your eyes.

Just take whatever you need to find your most comfortable position.

Stretch your legs out to let your feet flop to the sides.

Bring your arms by your sides,

Palms facing up.

If that doesn't feel good in your body,

You can also place your hands on your belly.

Make any final adjustments to find your most comfortable position,

Allowing yourself to really land into the support to the surface beneath you,

Feeling held,

Cradled,

Cocooned.

Throughout this practice,

Try to remain completely still.

But if there's anything that prevents you from fully relaxing,

For example if you need to scratch,

There's no harm in moving,

But then return to stillness.

We'll begin by taking three big cleansing breaths.

Let's take a big inhale through the nose.

Open your mouth.

And again.

One more big inhale.

Let it all go.

Let go of any sense of effort.

Nothing is required of you here.

Let your mind drop down into your heart.

Allow thinking to dissolve into feeling,

Listening.

Now can you imagine and feel the surface beneath you,

The walls around you and the ceiling above you.

Bring awareness to your entire physical body,

Lying here,

Completely relaxed,

Completely still.

Could you relax all the muscles in your forehead,

Your eyes,

Your tongue,

Your jaw,

Completely relaxed.

Can you soften your shoulders,

Letting them melt into the earth beneath you.

Could you soften the muscle of your mind,

Almost like you're clenching a fist.

Unclench your mind,

Softening,

Letting go.

And with every exhale,

Allow any tension to drain from your body.

The whole body resting deeply and your mind awake and awake.

And now call in your sankalpa or heartfelt desire.

For this practice,

Might you welcome the sankalpa,

I am more than my physical body and can experience beyond the physical world.

Whisper the sankalpa to yourself three times and as you say it,

Really feel it in your whole being.

I am more than my physical body and can experience beyond the physical world.

We will begin now to rotate our awareness through different parts of the body.

Just allow your attention to glide effortlessly from one point to the next,

Almost like you're receiving an energetic massage through those parts,

Creating a cascade of relaxation through your whole body.

As your attention moves,

Your body remains completely still.

Beginning in the mouth,

Feel the sensations at the tip of your tongue all the way to the root of your tongue.

Sense the teeth,

The gums,

The roof of your mouth and inside both cheeks.

Sense the lower lip,

The upper lip,

The tip of your nose,

The bridge of your nose,

The centre of your forehead,

Your mind's eye,

The right eye and all the little muscles behind the cheek,

Ear,

Inside the right ear,

Listening.

The centre of your forehead,

The left eye and all the little muscles behind the eye,

The left cheek,

Ear,

Inside your left ear,

Listening.

A sense of the whole face and scalp,

Tingling with sensation.

The centre of your throat,

The base of your throat,

Your heart space,

The right side of your chest,

Your right shoulder,

Elbow,

Wrist,

Palm,

The tip of your right thumb,

The tip of your first finger,

Second,

Third,

Little finger.

Feel the spaces between the fingers,

Each finger like a little stream that flows into the space beyond.

The palm,

Wrist,

Elbow,

Shoulder,

A sense of the whole right arm and hand,

The right side of your chest,

Waist,

Hip,

Knee,

Ankle,

The sole of your right foot,

Your right big toe,

Second toe,

Third,

Fourth and little toe.

A sense of your whole foot and leg,

Full of sensation.

The whole right hemisphere of your body,

Full of sensation and awareness.

The heart space,

The left side of your chest,

Your left shoulder,

Elbow,

Wrist,

The palm of your left hand,

The tip of your left thumb,

The tip of your first finger,

Second,

Third,

Little finger.

Feel the spaces between the fingers,

Each finger like a little stream that flows into the space beyond.

The palm,

Wrist,

Elbow,

Shoulder,

A sense of the whole left arm and hand,

Tingling with sensation.

The left side of your chest,

Waist,

Hip,

Your left knee,

Ankle,

The sole of your left foot,

Your left big toe,

Second,

Third,

Fourth and little toe.

A sense of your whole left foot and leg,

Full of sensation.

Now bring your awareness to the whole left hemisphere of your body,

Tingling with sensation and awareness.

Now the whole of your back body,

Feeling only the back of your body.

Now the whole of the front body,

Sensing the whole of the front body.

Now your whole body as one,

Feeling your whole body as one,

Lying here,

Completely still and your mind awake and alert,

Resting deeply,

Effortless.

Now feel the natural rhythm of your breath,

Waves of breath flowing in and out.

And as you do this,

Notice and sense the outline of the physical body,

The outer edges all around your body,

Sensing the shape and volume of your whole body.

The whole body breathing itself in and out.

And might you imagine a light,

Brilliant white light,

Contouring the edges of your body.

Could you visualize your body,

Lying here,

Encircled by this brilliant white light,

Your whole body glowing,

Tingling,

Humming with this light.

And as you inhale,

Allow the light to flow through every cell in every part of your body.

And as you exhale,

Imagine this white,

Radiant light glowing more and more all around you.

Fill yourself up as you inhale,

Glow brighter and brighter as you exhale.

Continuing like this without changing the breath.

How can you imagine breathing light up from the soles of your feet to the crown of your head?

As you exhale,

Let this energy swirl around you all the way back down to your feet.

Inhale through the soles of your feet up to the crown of your head.

Exhale energy swirling around you all the way back down to your feet.

Continuing like this for a few more rounds.

Now notice any subtle sensations,

Vibrations or waves of energy within you.

And if you feel nothing,

That's okay too.

Just remain here with the body deeply relaxed and your mind awake and alert.

And if you can sense a sensation,

Lean into it,

Surrender to it,

Knowing that you're completely safe and held in this space.

Allow any energy sensations to flow up and down through your whole body.

Waves of energy flowing through you.

Up and down.

And now invite the feeling of heaviness through your whole body,

Dropping deeper and deeper as your body gets heavier and heavier.

Almost like you're shifting gears,

Going deeper and deeper as your body gets heavier and heavier.

Now invite the feeling of lightness through your whole body.

Feel your body becoming lighter and lighter,

Weightless.

Almost like you're shifting the gears up.

The arms,

The legs,

Your torso,

Your head.

The whole body shifting up,

Getting so light,

Floating upwards as light as a feather.

And as you float,

Feeling light,

Weightless.

Feel your awareness increase,

Becoming more and more aware of your lighter,

Higher vibrational body.

That part of you that is completely free of all limits.

Could you see,

Feel and sense with this increased awareness?

What can you see through your closed eyelids?

What can you feel?

What can you sense?

Drifting here in this space of no time,

No space,

For a few more moments.

Absolutely yes.

Now bring your awareness back to the sankalpa we set at the beginning of this practice.

I am more than my physical body and can experience beyond the physical world.

Whisper the sankalpa to yourself three times and as you say it,

Really feel it in your whole being.

I am more than my physical body and can experience beyond the physical world.

Now let it go and once again start to notice the natural rhythm of your breath.

Begin to sense the edges of your body,

The shape,

The volume,

The outer edges.

Begin once again to sense the support of the surface beneath you,

The walls around you,

The ceiling above you.

Fully arriving back in your body.

Start to deepen your breath.

Taking as much time as you need to fully arrive back into the space.

The practice of yoga nidra is now complete.

It's time to slowly begin to awaken the body.

Bringing your awareness back into your thumbs,

Slowly making little circles with the thumbs and then brushing them across your fingertips.

Perhaps making little circles with the wrists.

Then bringing your awareness into your toes.

Making little movements with the toes.

Just circles with the ankles.

When it feels right for you,

You might like to give yourself a really nice big stretch.

Perhaps you'd like to draw the knees in towards the chest.

Maybe letting your knees fall over to one side so you're curling yourself up into a little ball.

Just resting here for a moment.

Take a moment to tune into your body,

Into your mind and notice how you feel.

Notice any benefits,

Any feelings,

Any insights that might have arisen during this practice.

Just take a moment to bask in these benefits for another breath or two.

Perhaps you could set an intention to carry any of these benefits with you into the rest of your day.

Your eyes close,

Slowly start to sit back up.

Bring your palms together and rub them back and forth.

Let's place the palms over the eyes.

And just as we began,

Let's end with three big cleansing breaths.

Taking a big inhale through the nose.

Sighing it out.

And again.

One more.

Slowly blink open the eyes.

Bring your thumbs up to your forehead,

To your lips and back to your heart.

Shining your beautiful radiant light on everything you think,

Everything you say and everything you do.
