A 20-minute meditation to reflect on the beauty of 2022. Starting with coming into the body and feeling it ground and relax. Scrolling through the book of your life looking back at those pages of 2022 filled with beautiful memories and filling up the blank pages of your 2023 as you desire.

Transcript

Just as we're coming to the end of the year,

I want you to look back at all the beautiful memories you've had this year and all the beautiful things that are still on your way,

That are to come for the next year.

I invite you to come into a comfortable position,

Or lay down,

Make yourself feel comfy,

Grab a blanket,

Put on some incense or music,

Create a nice atmosphere for yourself,

Make yourself feel safe and held and loved,

Give yourself that extra comfy environment,

Make yourself feel warm.

Whenever you're ready,

Just straightening your back,

If you're sitting down,

Opening up your chest,

Closing your eyes,

Your hands or your lap or next to you,

If you're laying down,

Gently close your eyes and just start to feel the surface underneath you,

How it's supporting you in this moment.

Just feel every part of your body touching the ground,

The surface underneath you,

Just feel if you can sink in even deeper,

Connecting with your breath,

Taking deep inhalations and exhalations and sighing out,

Letting go of your day,

Letting go of any worry with every exhalation.

Connect with your breath,

Breathing in,

Expanding your chest,

Expanding your belly,

Breathing in all the way through your toes and exhale completely from the toes all the way into your belly and your chest.

Let this air leave your body with any tension you hold within,

Just let it go,

Letting go of any fear,

Letting go of any self-doubt,

Any beliefs that are not serving you,

Keep connecting to your breath,

Extending your inhalation and extending your exhalation as you go and release,

Release even more.

With every exhalation you feel yourself dropping deeper and deeper into the ground,

Connecting more with the surface underneath you,

Feeling how the ground and the surface supporting you,

Making you feel safe,

How it's nourishing you in this moment so that you can let go completely.

It's almost like your body is getting heavier and heavier and heavier,

Sinking deeper and deeper and as you relax more and let go and calm down and come more into your body,

I invite you to pay attention to your heart and to feel how this area feels for you right now,

Breathing into your chest,

Breathing into your heart and letting go of any tension that you hold there,

Not having any judgment of how you're feeling,

Just let it be,

It's okay and as you feel and connect to your heart,

As you breathe into it,

Giving it more space,

Giving it attention,

Giving it love,

Making it feel seen,

Just think of your life as it being a book,

The book of your life,

Laying right in front of you.

What does this book look like?

How does the cover look like?

The paper,

How does it feel?

Maybe you can smell the scent of the paper or the dust that has been on it from sitting in the cupboard,

Just look at it and observe it,

It's the book of your life and you're going to open it at the page,

The start of 2022 and you're just going to flicker through all the pages,

Which keep all the memories,

All the beautiful memories of 2022,

Just see how it started,

The memories you've had in January,

February,

Go back to those beautiful memories you've had as if you were reliving them,

Feeling into them,

If you're exactly at that place exactly at that place again,

Seeing the environment around you,

Maybe the people that were there,

The smells you've smelled in that moment,

The sounds you heard,

Connect to that feeling you felt right there in that moment,

How that made you feel and just as this memory,

There were so many more in just 2022,

Memories you're maybe not even expecting,

Things that came to you unexpectedly and gave you this beautiful insight,

A beautiful connection,

Maybe just a really beautiful conversation,

Maybe it changed your life in a way,

Think back of all the unexpectedness that came towards you,

Think back of all the beautiful people you've met,

Connected with,

Created deeper connections with,

Think back of all the music you've listened to,

New songs you've discovered,

All the beautiful places you've visited,

The changes you've made within yourself,

Look back at how far you've grown,

The challenges you had to overcome to be who you are today,

The challenges that might have felt as a struggle or something bad in the moment,

But helped you for the better,

Helped you become stronger,

Helped you to find a deeper peace within yourself and as you turn the pages of this year,

2022,

It's coming to the end of December and as you turn the page into 2023,

It's blank and it is for you to fill in,

Fill in exactly the way you want it to be,

To create even better memories,

More experiences,

More growth,

To create the life you desire,

It is all up for you to create,

Just look at it and look how you would like to fill those pages,

Think of an intention,

A feeling you want to create for the next year to come or the many more years to come from there,

Think of the person you would like to become and how this person would feel,

Let it completely sink in,

Let that feeling connect with your heart,

The feeling you want to create,

With every breath making this feeling bigger within your heart,

With every breath expanding it in all directions,

To your back,

Your chest,

To the left and the right,

Expanding it with every inhalation,

With every exhalation,

It's spreading more,

With every breath you take,

It is expanding into your body,

Into your chest,

Filling up your whole chest,

Your shoulders,

Your arms,

Your fingers,

Just feel this feeling moving through your body,

Through your back,

Your waist,

Your legs,

All the way into your toes and from your own body,

It's expanding outwards with every exhalation,

You breathe it out,

This feeling is becoming bigger,

It's filling up this room and even beyond this space,

Beyond this room,

Going beyond,

Make it bigger and bigger and with your next inhalation,

You're bringing all this energy back into your heart,

Feel the bigness of it,

Feel how it's expanded,

Feel the warmth,

Feel how it's tingling,

Feel the space,

The feeling you want to create,

Create into the world and as you continue to connect with this feeling,

I invite you to become aware of the sounds around you again,

Beyond this room,

Closer to you,

Start to breathe in again,

Breathe deeply into your belly,

Start to breath,

Start to feel the breath moving through you,

Start wiggling your toes,

Your fingers,

Moving your head and if you're laying down,

Slowly roll over to one side and come up,

Slowly coming back into the space and opening your eyes,
