So as we're beginning our time together,
I'd like to invite you now to just get yourself kind of comfy,
As comfy as you can in the space that you're in,
And start to perhaps do a body scan,
Or just a background awareness of how you feel in this moment as we're together,
And perhaps scanning starting at the top of your head,
Moving down to your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your chest,
Your back,
Your belly,
Your hips,
Down to your legs,
Thighs,
And knees,
Down to your calves and your feet,
And perhaps just notice if any of those areas are calling to you for your attention.
Our bodies speak to us in so many ways,
And you know,
We weren't really taught to listen to our bodies,
Were we?
Not so much.
When they hurt,
We listen plenty,
But not to all the little subtle messages that it gives us throughout our life that perhaps can alert us to other things that happen down the road.
So just notice,
No matter how subtle or small,
Is anything calling to you,
Any part of your body calling to you,
And I invite you to put your hand there,
Or your both hands,
And perhaps take a nice deep breath into that area,
And blow out energies that are no longer serving you in that area,
And just continue to take a nice deep breath into any of those areas,
As you're sending love and healing with your own beautiful hands,
Which actually grow out of our heart in the womb,
And are very healing for our body.
Send that love with your hands and your breath to those areas,
And as you're starting now to find your natural breath,
The natural rhythm of your breath,
I invite you to just imagine in your creative imagination that the nerve endings of your feet are traveling down through the floor,
Through the building and the ground,
All the way down to the earth,
And you're going to imagine that that energy is coming back up your body,
Through the base of your spine,
All the way up the spinal cord,
The Sushumna,
All the way up to your crown,
And then back down again to Mother Earth,
Through your feet,
And then coming back up again through the base of the spine,
And allow that circuit,
That beautiful circuit,
That connection,
That anchoring to Mother Earth,
Allow that to feel so good,
And so grounded,
And so connected,
Allow your body to feel that as you're sinking deeper and deeper and deeper into the chair,
And this is something you can do at home.
Feel anything coming up,
Or feeling even just unsettled,
You know,
You wake up crappy,
Just feel lousy sometimes,
Sit down,
Put your hand where you feel that,
Just start,
Ask your body,
What would you like me to do today?
Well,
How can I help you?
Can we make some sound together?
Mmmmm,
Doesn't have to be beautiful,
Can be very strange,
Or just like it did when you were a child,
And you were free with your voice,
Just allow it to happen,
Or just soothe yourself,
Send soothing sounds to your body,
Your heart,
Your soul,
To start to just notice,
Notice your state of awareness in this moment,
Notice how your body feels,
Your state of beingness,
Start taking a little deeper breath now,
And perhaps when you're ready to maybe wiggle fingers and toes a little bit,
And just stretch in whatever way is comfortable for you,
And even though this was a very short sound bath,
We've still moved some energy,
As people like to say,
Because we are energetic beings,
And sound moves through us,
And it reorganizes us at the cellular,
Molecular,
Quantum level,
So you may notice that you feel lighter,
You may feel sleepy,
You may want to take a nap,
But I'd love it if you had a drink of water,
