When you can't breathe freely,
You have a pit in your stomach.
Your mind is going a hundred miles per hour and you can't even feel your fingers anymore.
Instead of declaring ourselves as anxious,
I am anxious.
I prefer to see it differently.
I am not anxious.
My energy,
Or prana,
Is simply not moving properly.
When we dissociate ourselves from the emotion,
Because emotions are really just energy in motion,
It's a lot easier to free ourselves from the anxious thoughts and feelings and drop back into our bodies.
And you can easily see if the energy is moving freely in your body with your breath.
So take a deep breath in for me.
Hold here.
And exhale out.
Good.
Now let's take five more as you gently close your eyes.
Five in,
Inhale.
Five out,
Exhale.
Four in,
Inhale.
Four out,
Exhale.
Three in,
Inhale.
Three out,
Exhale.
Two in,
Inhale.
Two out,
Exhale.
One in,
Inhale.
One out,
Exhale.
Amazing.
Now imagine a white,
Sparkling ball of light appearing at the top of your crown.
As you keep breathing,
The white,
Sparkling ball of light slowly starts to travel down the right side of your head,
Right ear,
Right side of your neck,
Right shoulder,
Down your right arm,
Down your right fingers.
It rolls back up under your right arm,
Travels your right ribs,
Waist,
Right hip,
And it keeps rolling down your right leg,
All the way down to your right toes.
The ball of light is traveling up your right leg and gently moving to your left leg,
All the way down to your left toes.
You then feel the white,
Sparkling ball of light moving up your left leg,
Left thigh,
Left hip,
Waist,
Left ribs,
Traveling down your left arm to your left fingertips.
Then it softly moves up your left arm,
Shoulder,
Left side of your neck,
Head,
Until it finishes its journey back at the top of your crown.
Now,
Feeling the white ball of light softly dissolving into sparkling gold and white light,
Entering at the crown of your head,
Coating every single vessel in your body,
And going straight into your bloodstream.
So the light is now traveling everywhere in your body.
Feeling the sparkling gold and white light moving everywhere in your body for the next minute or so.
Now bringing our awareness back to the breath.
Is the energy moving more freely in my body?
Is breathing a little easier?
Do I feel like I am in my body again?
If you feel the need to take a minute after this practice to journal on whatever was brought up during this session,
Make sure you do so.
Now we'll slowly start to wake up the body by moving as slowly as possible.
Slowly coming back to the room,
You want to slowly start moving your toes,
Fingers,
Perhaps taking a deep breath,
Feeling your chest rise,
If you want to stretch while still moving as slowly as possible.
Good.
And when you're ready,
Gently opening your eyes.
