I've been asking myself this question very often lately.
What do I really want?
I mean,
What do I genuinely want?
Not what people think I want,
Or what I should want.
And the truth is,
I was actually really scared to ask myself that question because our real desire,
The one that comes from the heart,
Is often different than a reality we've built for ourselves.
Our soul's desire can,
In certain cases,
Shatter relationships,
Career,
And most importantly the false perception we have of ourselves.
So living the life we really want can be scary,
So I decided to approach this question differently.
What is one thing I can do today that brings me closer to the person I really want to be?
Because taking that one step every day to become the person you've always dreamed to be will over time magically realign your life.
As you become the person you're genuinely supposed to be,
Your energy will change in the most positive way.
In other words,
When you clean up your energy and realign and tune in to your ideal frequency,
Beautiful things truly start to happen.
So today's practice is not about perfectly designing the life you want,
As in the ideal career,
Car,
House,
Or your ideal partner,
But more about going backwards by becoming the person you want to be,
So then we can attract these things organically.
As you get comfortable,
Gently closing your eyes if they weren't closed already.
Take a deep breath in through your nose for me.
Exhale at the top.
And slowly exhale out.
As you slowly tune in to your body,
Bring awareness to your ears.
As you listen to the music,
Let it help you calm your mind as you come back to your natural state which is this rest and digest mode with an equanimous mind and slow breathing pace.
Now bring your awareness to your heart.
I will ask a question and I will leave you with this question for a little while as you notice the sensations as soon as you ask yourself this question.
So still bringing your awareness to your heart,
Notice your chest going up and down and ask yourself,
How can I get closer to the person I truly am?
How can I get closer to the person I truly am?
Now notice the sensations.
You might mentally see an image of some kind of hobby to get back to.
You might hear a specific word or perhaps you just feel emotional and that's okay.
Just observe and thank your body for letting you know.
If you didn't see or feel anything,
That's okay too.
You might just get the intuitive nudge later today or this week.
Now while this experience is still fresh in your memory,
Try to take a mental note on whatever was brought up during the session so you can act on it today.
Now take a deep breath in and feel your chest rise as we slowly wake up the body.
You can gently move your fingers and toes.
As you come back into this space,
Take your time.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
