My name is Carrie.
Today we will be focusing on the elements in our meditative practice.
This is presencing in our mind,
Our body and our soul.
First off,
We're going to start with the Mother Earth gesture to ground as we bring our attention to our inhale and our exhale.
Having our pointer and middle finger out and together,
We're going to take our thumb,
Our ring and our pinky finger into the center of our hands.
So whether you are sitting,
Laying or sitting,
You take your arms out to the side and we start to breathe.
Allowing our bodies to ground with our breath.
Inhaling in through the nose.
Exhale out.
On our next inhale,
We feel the expansion of our body.
Exhale,
Release.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
On our next inhale,
We're going to start to bring into focus the elements.
First,
Starting with the element of fire.
This can come into our activation.
This can come into our daily life,
The fire of passion that keeps us moving forward.
Observing what the element of fire brings to you.
In this couple moments of silence,
The introspection.
Sitting with the fire in your life.
From here,
Let's bring in the element of earth.
The grounding,
Our feet on stable stable ground.
Security.
Notice where earth supports you in your daily life.
How do you feel when you're out in earth?
When you're out in nature?
From here,
Let's bring in the observation of air,
Of wind.
Where in your life does air support you?
Air happens in the breath that we breathe.
Air is known in traditions to cleanse our mental and emotional bodies through wind.
Notice in your own life where air supports you on a daily basis.
From here,
Let's bring our attention to water.
Calm,
Serene,
Nourishing water.
How do you feel about water?
Where does water support you in your life at this time?
Is it the water that you drink?
Maybe you paddleboard on water.
Maybe you enjoy just floating or having your feet in water at the end of your week or during the day.
Take a few moments now to observe where you experience the calmness of water in your life.
Now,
Let's bring into observation spirit or ether,
The element of the universe.
Where in your life are you supported by ether or spirit?
Where in your life do you notice the guidance that comes out of nowhere and starts to gift you in so many ways?
From here,
Let's start to allow our meditation to end by deepening our breath back into normal rhythmic cycle.
Feeling the temperature of the air on your skin,
Allowing movement into your fingers and your toes.
Whenever you're ready,
Gently start to come back into the space around you.
Looking with new fresh eyes.
