This poem is a creative reminder to slow down and take in the beauty around you. An encouragement to get outside and to marvel at nature. To get out of doing mode and into being mode. Just for a while at least. Outside we find our place.

Unquestionable.

Outside is where I find my place.

Away the less-than thoughts are chased.

Embraced by birdsong,

Joy appears.

A sense of peacefulness is near.

It's clear that we folks were not made.

In buildings daylong to parade.

The shades of homely green,

Our nest.

Out here,

My humanness feels best.

When stressed or mirthful,

Low or high,

My mood,

Like scudding clouds,

Floats by.

So I,

Each morning,

My shoes lace And go outside to find my place.

Slow down,

Slow down,

And you'll find grace.
