Lessons from a Tropical Plant Today I sit and watch the plants around me.
Some are native to where I'm currently living in and they are thriving in their own way.
They're growing effortlessly.
Some have been flown here from a distant land and I see that they are struggling to flower,
To grow and to multiply.
They need that extra bit of care,
More or less sunshine,
More or less water,
More or less fertilizer.
And they're sensitive to the temperature change.
At times I need to mist them with water or constantly prune them.
This makes me think about life at times,
When I surrender myself with the right people,
Activities and align myself with what makes me happy.
I grow and flourish almost effortlessly.
And at times,
If what I'm trying to fix or fit into my life with force and I feel it's like the tropical plant not being able to thrive in a desert or the North Pole.
So maybe it is time to take a look at myself like a plant and find where,
With whom and when do I have the potential to thrive effortlessly?
I am watching myself grow effortlessly and I will bloom.
