Here I speak about celebrations in general, and how we humans tend to celebrate throughout the years. I bring some awareness to this subject, as a way to wake us up to what we really and truly want to celebrate.

My name is Sengit and today I am speaking about something related to celebrations.

We humans like to celebrate things,

Moments,

Phases of life,

Endings and beginnings,

Cultures and traditions.

We celebrate for so many reasons and for so many reasons we continue to celebrate.

We tend to celebrate and we tend to repeat it and every time that there is a new reason to celebrate something we tend to add it to the list of things that we already have to celebrate.

Sometimes the list gets so overwhelmed that we end up repeatedly celebrating more than one thing in the same day of a month,

Always with the possibility of adding one or more celebrations to the equation.

We celebrate so much and we have so many things to celebrate that we may feel that our life is a big gigantic celebration that just keeps on going and going with no control at all.

And because we continue celebrating and because those celebrations usually have specific dates and because every date repeats itself every year,

Every time that another year starts the same exact celebrations begin and unfold exactly the same way as the year before.

We celebrate but how many of these celebrations do we really celebrate?

How many of these celebrations do we consciously and deeply celebrate with tears of joy and inner smile and pure gratitude and appreciation in our heart?

Do we really celebrate or do we actually celebrate just because we should?

And do we really celebrate or do we actually push ourselves to celebrate not when we want but when we are allowed to?

What about the things that we actually want to celebrate?

Are we celebrating them?

Are we celebrating what truly matters?

What is it that truly matters to us?

What is it that we love and care about so much that we really feel like celebrating?

Whatever it is that we feel grateful for and since we celebrate so much,

Let's not wait to celebrate it.

Let's celebrate it today,

Now.

There is not one single thing that we really want to celebrate that should be waiting to be celebrated.

Life happens whether we celebrate it or not and no matter how many celebrations we celebrate,

If we don't truly feel it,

It will only pass us by.

True celebration comes to stay once it comes.

It comes to stay with us through an understanding of what truly matters.

It matters and so it stays throughout the years,

The months and the days,

No matter the days,

The months or the years.

True celebration happens now,

Within,

And it naturally reflects on the outside.

It is natural and beautiful and it doesn't even require sophisticated meals or expensive gifts.

So today,

Let's simply celebrate what is dear to us with a simple gesture a simple smile a simple look into the stars and let's be grateful in every moment,

Not just once or twice a year or in a specific date,

For every beautiful and amazing thing that we have access to and for everything that truly touches us not under stress or obligation but under compassion and gentleness.
