Hi,
I'm Sarah Blondin and welcome to today's daily insight.
Today's practice will be focused on feeding the heart and waking the most deeply caring aspect of you.
It will begin with a short talk and end with a guided meditation.
It can be useful when you're feeling trapped inside your pain and when you're really wishing to return to a sense of peace.
I wish you a restorative practice.
We easily get swept away by life and the ever-changing current of it.
When pain and anguish or restlessness and dissatisfaction take root,
It kind of splays out within us,
Taking over our body,
Mind,
And psyches and causes us to suffer an amnesia of the spirit.
We forget how easy it can be to lean ourselves toward goodness again.
We forget we have agency and a choice in the matter and most devastatingly when we are caught in our pain,
We forget how deeply we care for our lives,
The people in it,
And this world.
So often our pain and our living in our pain is because we have yet to learn we are worthy of peace.
No one unfortunately has really taught us of our worth.
No one has really taught us how to receive or even seek the richness hidden in our very being.
So when anger,
Discontent,
Righteousness,
And victimhood kind of rises up within us,
We need to learn to seek rest,
Soften the body,
And teach our system how to receive the bounty of this life.
We really must teach our system and psyche to receive.
We learn to receive by opening wide in presence.
We open by becoming still and aware of the bird outside the window,
The rain,
The soft morning light,
And the heart behind our ribs.
And then we courageously and continually lean ourselves toward this goodness.
We do not fight.
We do not grow strong.
We grow soft.
We let go of our idea that we need to change anything and instead we begin to dance between the light and sorrow.
Light and goodness is the dance partner of your pain.
A question to ask yourself is how are you dancing?
Are you letting pain lead or are you letting the light lead?
Spiritual teacher and writer Eckhart Tolle says that life is not here to make you happy.
It is here to make you conscious.
Never will it be only one way.
Both freedom and suffering will forever coexist.
So you must,
If wanting freedom from your hardship,
Be willing to lean yourself into the light each time you are aware of the option.
No one can make this choice for you.
It is your life that you must come to know is worth living.
It is your life you must come to love no matter the worlds of war living within it.
Close your eyes now.
Finding rest at the edge of your busy mind.
Shedding,
Peeling open and back your defenses.
You are home with the one now.
Home with your light and essence.
Take rest in the simplicity and bounty of your own being.
This is yours to drink of.
This is yours.
Breathing long and slow breaths.
Watching as the great waves of life rush through you in your awareness and in your presence.
Watching as your body becomes less rigid.
Watching as the lines and curves of your being become soft and fluid.
You are opening.
You are returning.
You are surrendering.
Can you feel into now the perfection that is you,
Dear one?
Can you touch into what is true and pure?
Can you lean into the goodness of you?
Dear tender heart,
May you find refuge in this moment from all that feels hard and tired within your mind.
May you relax into the gift that is you.
Waking now a deep sense of caring within your heart.
Imagine what care looks like.
What caring feels like.
Notice how a light gets turned on within you.
It is time to wake your deeply caring nature,
Dear one.
Placing both your hands on your heart now.
And lifting your face slightly up to face the sky as if you are letting light be poured into you.
Repeating for me now this mantra.
I am here and I care.
I am here and I care.
I am here and I care.
I am here and I care.
I am here and I care.
Writing this mantra silently into the center of your heart.
Let it break you open to all you have forgotten.
Let the water of your being be purified.
Let yourself receive the medicine hidden within your own heart.
I am here and I care.
I am here and I care.
I care for every soul I come to meet.
I care for every heartbeat,
My own,
The earth's,
Those around me.
I care for my body and all that lives inside me.
I care for my hands and feet.
For my joy,
For my spirit.
I care for every moment and hold my life as a precious pearl in the palm of my hand.
I am here and I care.
I am here and I care.
Let me lean into this goodness as often as I can remember.
Let me lean into this goodness when I feel I am being pushed to my very edge.
Let me make medicine from my moments.
Let me dance and let me let love lead.
Watching yourself breathing with your face turned up to the sky.
Letting your cup be filled.
This you are capable.
You are learning to receive.
Be wise,
Open wide,
Slow to the drip of honey.
Wake your dormant seed of potential.
Coax what is beautiful up from the dark soil of your life and being.
If you do not believe you can do this,
Life will find ways to show you how.
And this moment right now as you are listening is one of those moments.
Taking a deep breath now.
Stretching in your body.
Lengthening your spine and letting out a deep sigh of contentment.
Letting your body be filled with happiness.
Stretching in your body,
Lengthening your spine and letting out a deep sigh of contentment.
And coming back to the room you are sitting in.
Remember to dance dearest one with all that is.
In mastery with purpose,
With deep unshakable knowing that you are more than worthy of receiving the grace and love reaching out to you in every moment.
In every moment,
On every breath and every beat of your heart.
Seize this goodness dear one,
Among all else seize this.
Open your wings and fly to higher branches.
Thank you,
Sending Love.

Where to begin? But here in this moment. Sarah what you have so selflessly given is truly a gift of grace, of deepest caring, of deepest compassion 🙏the world needs to stay reminded of the 6 words that can alter the balance- “ I am here and I care”. My deepest gratitude again and again.

Beautiful language, metaphors, and music. I’m mostly stumbling in the dark, but I’m trying to remember and recapture some light. I hope this meditation helps me do that.
