Welcome to this meditation Winter Morning Awakening.
This meditation is designed to gently awaken your senses and mind on a cold winter morning,
Helping you to start your day with a sense of peace and mindfulness.
Try to find some comfort in your bed as you wake up in your warm bed.
Take a moment to feel the coziness around you.
Notice the softness of your blankets and the gentle darkness of the early winter morning.
Close your eyes and start by taking three deep slow breaths.
Inhale through the nose,
Feel the cold winter air and slightly and slowly breathe out.
Breathe in through your nose,
Feel the cold winter air and exhale slowly through your mouth,
Releasing any tension.
Gently bring awareness to your body.
Notice any sensations.
Feel how your skin is touching the bed or your clothes.
Feel the warmth of your bed and acknowledge these feelings without judgment,
Just observing.
This is a brand new morning where you can have gratitude for the warmth of your bed.
So reflect on the warmth that you're experiencing,
Feeling gratitude for the shelter and comfort protecting you from the winter cold.
And let this gratitude fill your heart,
Warming you from within.
Let's start by visualizing the day.
Imagine the day ahead like a blank canvas.
Visualize yourself moving through it calmly and with intention.
Picture the tasks you will do,
The people you will meet,
All under the quiet serene umbrella of the winter.
Visualize your day as being calm,
Peaceful and with joy.
Feel connected to this season and its unique beauty.
Every season has its beauty.
Envision the winter scene outside your window.
Envision the winter scene outside your window.
Perhaps snow is gently falling or rain is softly hitting your window.
Or maybe there's a little morning sun this winter.
As you prepare to rise,
Set an intention to carry this peaceful,
Grounded feeling within you.
Whether you're facing a busy day or a more relaxed one,
Decide to approach it with mindfulness and calm.
Take three more deep breaths,
Filling your lungs up with the cool winter air,
Rejuvenating your body and mind.
As you exhale,
Gently start moving your fingers and toes,
Slowly awakening your body.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes,
Stretch your arms and legs,
Feeling the energy flowing through them.
Smile softly,
Embracing the new day with warmth,
Peace and mindfulness.
Namaste.
