I'm Sequoia of Sequoia Yoga and welcome to your open heart clear mind meditation.

A couple years ago I started working with a hypnotherapist,

More like an assistant of the hypnotherapist,

But she had this mantra of an open heart and a clear mind.

She started to teach me what that meant.

Essentially what that means is that your heart is an intelligent being and your brain has no business making decisions for you.

So keep your brain or your mind clear and keep your heart open so it can lead you wherever you're going into this life.

So as we prepare for our open heart clear mind meditation,

Go ahead and grab a seat,

Get comfortable and really relax into yourself.

We're going to take about three breaths to do that.

In this space I want you to go into your heart and find what's present.

In this moment we can be clearing and removing emotions of the heart that do not serve us like anger or fear,

Fear,

Worry,

Or in this moment we could be finding that our heart is full of passion,

Our heart is full of direction and next steps to take.

Whichever you're needing to focus on at this time,

Take this space.

I'm holding this space for you to inhale and exhale.

So when you inhale you bring in new life and when you exhale you let go of all of the things that no longer serve you.

And as you're exhaling the things that no longer serve you,

Understand that with that clear mind you will no longer be revisiting these emotions.

So they will have the ability to leave your heart space and on the flip side with a clear mind you will understand that you'll have space to bring your passions forward because your brain will no longer be in the way to tell you why it can't.

Rather your heart will take the lead and show you how you can.

So let's sit for a moment for a moment reflecting on this and just breathe before we end our meditation.

Create space,

Open your heart,

Send your shoulders back,

Relax your shoulders down,

Lift your chest up.
