Hello and welcome to this relaxation practice with me Charlotte Fay.

Today I'm going to ask you to relax with me.

In a few minutes I will say some things that will hopefully help you to create a picture in your mind.

We are going to relax different parts of the body.

By doing this it helps us to relax and can help you to cope with feelings of anger,

Sadness or things that can scare us.

So let's begin by finding a comfortable seated position either in your chair or cross legged on the floor.

Try to avoid touching anyone next to you as this may cause a distraction.

I'd like you to start by taking a few relaxing breaths.

Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.

As you do this close your eyes and try to relax your body.

Breathing in through the nose and then breathing out through the mouth.

Wriggle your shoulders a little to further make you more comfortable and relax your body.

We'll take some more relaxing breaths at this moment.

Breathing in through the nose,

Breathing out through the mouth.

Breathing in through the nose,

Breathing out through the mouth.

One more time.

Breathing in through the nose,

Breathing out through the mouth.

Just let your breath settle into its relaxed natural rhythm.

You should by now be feeling peaceful.

If you were feeling angry or upset.

Let those feelings float away up into the sky.

Into the clouds above you.

As you watch these feelings float away you feel more relaxed and peaceful.

Now with your eyes still closed.

Pretend you are laying on soft grass.

Under a tree.

By a waterfall.

You feel as though you are floating as you listen to the water running beside you.

It splashes as it comes down over the waterfall.

The longer you lay there,

The more relaxed you are as a gentle breeze brushes past your face.

And as you're laying there,

You notice a cloud floating down and it picks you up.

You feel safe as this cloud wraps around you and keeps you feeling calm and peaceful.

This cloud will be here whenever you need it.

To take your worries away and wrap you in a calm,

Peaceful blanket.

All you need to do is close your eyes.

Take some deep breaths and imagine your cloud wrapping around you.

You feel so warm and safe as you notice how relaxed your body feels.

How relaxed your toes and feet are.

They are so relaxed now.

Notice your legs and the muscles in your legs are relaxed and light.

The same as your arms.

As you stretch them out on the cloud that you're floating on.

You then notice your head and your neck as it rests relaxed on that lovely fluffy cloud.

You continue to lay there,

Relaxing on your fluffy white cloud as you float in the sky.

Remembering that you can return to this cloud and this safety and this calm peaceful place whenever you need to.

Simply close your eyes and relax.

The cloud you're on is beginning to float back down to the ground.

As you reach the ground,

You step off and start to open your eyes.

You have a little stretch,

Stretching your arms up above you.

And then you enjoy your day ahead.
