Hello and welcome to Daily Balm.
Is stress keeping you up at night?
If so,
Join me for this brief bedtime meditation.
Find a comfortable lying down position and let's begin to ground ourselves.
Let's begin to relax and melt.
Take a moment to survey your space.
Do you feel comfortable and safe?
If so,
Consider relaxing your eyes by closing them gently.
Now bring your focus from the external to the internal movement and flow of your breath.
Notice the physical sensations within your body as breath enters into your body and as breath flows from your body.
As you settle,
Begin to open your awareness to sensations of stress such as pain,
Tension,
Tightness,
Tenderness,
Or a feeling of simply being overwhelmed.
Breathe.
Breathe while observing these sensations.
Observe sensations in your neck,
In your shoulders,
In your hips,
In your feet.
Observe sensations throughout your entire body.
Now that you are aware of those sensations,
Introduce relaxation to those sensations as you scan your mind and your body.
Introduce relaxation to your neck.
Introduce relaxation to your shoulders.
Introduce relaxation to your hips.
And introduce relaxation to your feet.
Now begin to notice your thoughts.
You may notice thoughts swirling throughout your mind.
Do not judge them.
Acknowledge your thoughts and let them be and let them pass.
You are not your thoughts.
Thoughts are simply products of mental activity.
Surrender the need to control your mental activity.
Observe your thoughts and let them pass while focusing on your breath.
Invite relaxation into your mind through your inhaling breath.
And as you exhale,
Let go of control.
Relax and let go.
Relax and let go.
Bring awareness to your face.
Now invite relaxation through your inhaling breath.
And as you exhale,
Allow the stress to melt away from your face.
Notice your neck and your shoulders.
Welcome relaxation through your inhaling breath.
And as you exhale,
Allow the stress to melt away from your neck and your shoulders.
Feel the stress and tension in your back and in your chest soften.
As you become more relaxed,
The stress melts off of your back and your chest.
Listen as your hips call for relaxation.
Reflex to your body through your inhaling and exhaling breath.
Imagine stress sliding off of your legs and your feet.
As you meditate on these words.
Breathe,
Relax,
And let it melt away.
Breathe,
Relax,
And let it melt away.
And let it melt away.
As you breathe,
Sense lightness in your mind and your body as you float.
Notice your body feeling light and cool,
Floating higher and higher as stress melts and pours off of your mind and your body.
As you float,
Continue to breathe,
Relax,
And let it melt away.
Breathe,
Relax,
And let it melt away.
While you rest on a cloud of peace.
