Welcome to the Shifting with Marley podcast.

I'm Marley.

Thank you for joining me wherever you are.

All that I ask of you,

The listener,

Is to have an open mind and an open heart.

And in return,

I offer you myself.

Let's talk about fear.

I think fear is something that's really prevalent around the world right now.

I'm recording this in the middle of the pandemic.

And I think everyone is probably struggling with an extra dose of fear lately.

And my perspective on this is,

First of all,

All of our feelings are valid and we're all in this together.

And I think collectively,

We're all feeling this fear.

But what I challenge you to do is get to the root of your fear,

Sit with it.

Don't be afraid of your fear.

Let yourself feel it and maybe try to understand it and through that,

Understand yourself a little bit more and also maybe use your fear once you can understand it and get to the root of it.

As a driver for action,

Use your fear for something positive.

Don't succumb to fear.

Don't let it immobilize you.

But use your fear to do something good.

Let's use our collective fear to change the fucking world in a good way.

And some of the fears that I'm seeing,

I think that that's coming up a lot for a lot of people and it's gonna be individual.

For you,

Maybe fear of death with this virus,

Fear of not having enough with everyone losing their jobs and their incomes and maybe even fear of the unknown.

That's a big one,

Right?

Because we have no idea what the world's gonna look like next week,

The week after,

Next week,

The week after in two months,

Who the fuck knows?

Those are just some,

Those are just some examples of maybe something that we're all feeling.

It's gonna be specific to each of you,

But let's tackle these.

Fear of death,

I mean,

That's a huge one.

That's a huge one and it's very real and also fear of others dying,

Right?

But I recently went to a lecture by Deepak Chopra,

Who is amazing and the lecture was amazing and I learned so much.

And one thing he said,

Which I thought was really profound is on the spiritual journey,

Releasing your fear of death is one step on the path to enlightenment.

And I thought that was just so like,

Whoa,

Right?

Because I think it's so common to fear death,

But let it inspire you to live your best life every single day,

To live in the moment,

Even during this pandemic.

And if we can like release even an ounce of our fear of death,

Maybe we can live a little bit more fully here and now,

Because the thing is,

Is we're all dying.

Whether we die from this virus or we die from the effects of climate change,

Or we die from illness,

Or we die from old age,

Or we die from a fucking car accident.

The second you're born,

You're technically on a path to death,

Right?

That where none of us are getting out of here alive,

Like we're all gonna die.

So no matter when we're gonna die or how we're gonna die,

Let's release the fear of it and live in the moment and try every day to maximize our happiness and be present and just like,

Just live and without this fear of death on our backs.

And I don't have that mastered,

But if we can maybe think about it in that way,

That we're all gonna die of something somehow,

So why not live?

Even in quarantine,

Even during this pandemic,

Find ways to live your best life.

Something else you may be feeling right now is fear of the unknown.

But I challenge you to think about fear of the unknown in a new light,

Because nothing is ever certain.

The future is never certain,

So how is now any different?

A quote that I heard recently,

And I'm sorry I don't know who the quote was by,

But I found it very inspiring during this time.

The quote is,

When nothing is certain,

Anything is possible.

So let's look towards the future with curiosity,

With hope,

Surrender to this moment,

Embrace the change.

Life is change,

No matter when,

Where,

How old,

How young.

Life is change,

But we have the choice to fight against that or to surrender to that.

Choose to not fight against the current of life.

Let it carry you to the blissful unknown.

All that we have is this moment.

So maybe,

Just maybe,

Instead of having anxiety and fear about what the possible outcomes are,

About what possibly could happen in the future,

Focus on finding happiness for yourself now,

Focus on being present in this moment,

And the rest will follow.

So next and last for now,

Fear of not having enough.

I think that's really big right now,

Collectively.

But abundance,

Right,

Which is like the opposite of not having enough,

Abundance is a mindset.

Abundance is a feeling.

I invite you to explore what you associate abundance with.

Is it money?

Is it material objects?

The next best product or phone or technology?

Is it a product that's not worth it?

Is it something about a reader oruknote that's out there,

Having to figure things out?

So I younger,

Don't say a front Squire.

Have fuLk of ideas,

It got pushed to a,

I wonder how we use tools,

What different ways can we& What needs to happen to move in the next order?

And that is why I'm verycon bail.

You might think about what's happening Watch the sphere of not having enough shift as well and maybe fall away just a little bit.

And don't be afraid to ask for help.

Don't feel alone because you're not alone.

Ask and you shall receive.

Isn't that a quote,

A really commonly used quote that we've all heard?

Because what you put out into the universe,

You get back.

So if you put out abundance,

You will get abundance back.

Speak what you need out loud.

Write it down,

Put it out there,

And just watch what happens next.

I challenge you to reject the societal norms telling you that abundance is tied to how much you make or your job or how much you own.

Instead,

Plant a garden.

Be abundant in plants,

Be abundant in vegetables,

Be abundant in flowers.

Redefine what you think of what having enough is.

Reframe it in your mind.

Rethink it.

Let our fears teach us.

Weed them out,

Call them to the surface.

Find the root of your fears and then let it teach you,

Let it guide you,

Let it challenge you to grow.

And remember,

You're not alone.

We are here now in this time together.

Let's move forward together.

We are each creators of our new collective reality.

Let us not let our fears hold us back in this life.
