Hello there,

I'm Rev Skip,

And welcome to today's affirmation practice.

Today we're going to focus on affirmations of gratitude to help us stay focused and grounded.

So get into a comfortable place,

Close your eyes,

Begin to breathe.

You can repeat the affirmations aloud or to yourself.

Let's begin.

I am grateful for my life.

I am grateful to be alive.

I am grateful for my family.

I am grateful for all my friends.

I am grateful for the food I have to eat.

I am grateful for my home.

I am grateful for every opportunity that comes my way.

I am grateful for the sun,

The moon,

And the stars.

I am grateful to be one with everything.

I am grateful to receive and to give love.

I am grateful for all that is within me.

I am grateful for nature.

I am grateful for the birds,

The trees,

And the flowers.

I am grateful for the air I breathe.

I am grateful for the life I get to live.

I am grateful for infinite possibilities for today.

I am grateful for music,

Dancing,

And having fun.

I am grateful to be one with everything I see.

I am grateful that I make a difference on this planet.

I am grateful to be grateful.

My life is blessed and all is well.

I am grateful.

So slowly begin to bring your awareness back into the room that you're in.

Bring your hands onto your heart.

Take a deep breath in.

Let out a sigh.

Thank you for joining us today for our affirmation practice.

Be well and be blessed.

Namaste.

I adore Skip’s ability to immediately ground me in the present with his calming presence and warm voice. I just went through a stressful move and wanted to feel the full gratitude of where I am now and this gave me the peace I needed to finally receive just that for all that I’ve worked so hard to get to. Thank you πŸ™πŸ½ Skip for helping me rediscover my truest gratitude.

Sometimes the wiser way to make yourself feel better is to say thank you to someone that is generous to you and the community at large. We have a big fat chef that lives in our boarding house. On occasion she cooks eatery for us. Plus, she is creating receipies and needs to see how the food is cooking. I have lived here for 6 years and every once ia while I have something small that our resident chef needs. However, that does not add to improving a positive mindset, although it's a step in the right direction. All I wanted to do was say thank you and make the ladies of building feel better. So off I went at 9 o'clock on this Sunday morning to our 3rd floor janitorial closet. I got the broom, dust pan, mop and filled the mop bucket with water and plenty of Lysol. I took myself down the hallway and swept and mopped our 3rd floor kitchen. Our resident chef got nosey and I chased her out of our kitchen. Thirty minutes later everything was done. I put out the "caution wet floor " sign and returned all items to our janitorial closet. I emptied and rinsed out the mop bucket. I rinsed out the mop and everything was nice and clean. We don't have chores anymore, we only do desk shifts. I let our front desk monitor know my activies and went back to my room. Everything is nice and quiet and our resident chef has the giggles. I couldn't stand the idea of her cooking in that kitchen with the floor being so filthy. There is a cleaning person three times a week and she is a disaster. Our director of our building is attending to that problem. A skill I learned many years ago of sweeping and mopping a very small family restaurant kitchen came back to me during my living here. I did this chore for about 2 years and attended to both the second and third floor kitchen floors. Confidence and feeling better about yourself can come from a skill you learned many years ago. I just wanted to say thank you properly to our resident chef for foodings she prepared in a very non I need attention way. I am confident and I am grateful for the rain and the pine trees of the Pacific Northwest. I am also grateful for our giggling resident chef.
