The Still Point Minute Listen without needing to answer.

So often we listen while preparing our reply,

But true balance asks us to simply receive.

Today try this.

When someone speaks,

Set aside the need to answer,

To fix,

To prove.

Just breathe and let their words arrive.

Hold space like a bowl,

Wide and open.

Balance is found in the exchange,

In giving,

And in receiving without rushing.

When you practice listening like this,

You create harmony not only for others,

But for yourself.

Silence can be the most balanced response of all.
