Hi there,
This is A.
LeFay from Sylvanocity.
Are you the type of person who sometimes has a little trouble staying calm?
For instance,
Have you ever been known to say,
You made me angry!
Be honest.
Well,
That's what I thought.
Well,
Did you know that no one makes you angry?
That really,
Anger is a response that happens inside you.
So no one can make you angry.
In fact,
You can learn to gain control over your anger.
Don't believe me?
Well,
We'll just have to see.
You'll have to give this a try and see if it works.
See if it works.
What's this you may be asking?
Well,
It's a little exercise that you can try and see if it helps.
You ready?
Let's give it a try.
Number one,
You have to be good at imagining things.
Are you good at that?
Well,
Even if you're not so good,
I bet I can help.
So get yourself comfortable.
You might pick a nice,
Gushy chair,
Or maybe a favorite spot on the floor where you can lay out and relax.
You could even do it in your bed.
Wherever you'd like to do it,
Make sure you're nice and comfy.
Once you're in your nice,
Comfy spot,
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
Now,
Imagine yourself floating on water.
If you've never been able to do that before,
Relax.
In this imaginative exercise,
You can do anything.
Maybe it'll help you to imagine floating on a cloud,
Your arms resting at your side,
Everything feels relaxed,
Like you could fall asleep at any moment.
You might be floating in a cloud or on the surface of the water.
And as you do this,
You're going to slowly go down into the water.
And it's okay,
Because in this water,
You can breathe just fine.
It's clear and warm,
And you can see wherever you look.
There might be a few bubbles there,
A rock over here.
You're free to move about anywhere you want.
And there might even be some fish.
Maybe those fish are blue or green or yellow or orange or turquoise or muddy.
Or maybe there's a fish,
Turquoise or magenta,
Your choice.
Sometimes there's five fish.
Sometimes there's 15 fish.
But what if there were 57 fish?
That's a lot of fish.
You could be concerned.
You could feel crowded.
Or you could decide,
Hey,
I'm the water.
And if you want,
You just let go and flow.
Doesn't matter how many fish there are,
Because you can just let go and flow.
What if a fish cut you off or got first in line?
Doesn't matter.
You are the water.
You can just let go and flow.
What if there's a great big fish and it's a bully fish that calls out names or snaps its gum while it's chewing?
Doesn't matter.
You're the water.
You can just go and flow.
So if something happens in your life that really bothers you,
Step one,
Deep breath.
Step two,
Be the water.
Whatever is bothering you,
Let go and flow.
Acknowledge,
That bothers me.
But just let it float on by like a fish.
Because you,
My friend,
Are the water.
And you can just let go and flow and move right along.
I hope that this exercise shows you that you don't have to get angry,
That you don't have to get mad,
That you can just make that annoying thing that has come into your life into a fish.
A blue fish,
A yellow fish,
A magenta fish.
Doesn't matter.
Just pop it into a fish inside your mind and become the water.
Let go and flow and let that fish float on by.
This has been Eliphae the Silvanaceae.
Best of luck.
I know you can do it.
