It's time to settle down and get ready for a good night's sleep.
I want you to get all of the wiggles out.
Move around.
Shake them off.
Just get nice and cozy.
Taking some relaxed breaths and just settling in.
Feeling the pillow.
Blankets.
Maybe you're snuggling.
Just breathing and relaxing.
We're going to take a little journey.
A sleep story.
So as you breathe.
And just feel your body.
Letting go.
Thinking about the day you had.
And setting it aside.
Just thinking about.
Preparing your body for sleep.
Slowing down your mind.
Letting those thoughts drift away.
And for the next few moments,
All you have to do.
Is listen to this story.
So I want you to picture yourself.
In a beautiful garden.
And in this garden.
Are plants,
Flowers,
And trees.
There's little butterflies flying around.
Maybe you can see some caterpillars,
Frogs.
All of the friendly things are just playing around in this beautiful garden.
And I want you to sit down.
In the very middle,
Just on the grass.
I want you to look around.
Just observing this imaginary place.
Picturing what types of plants or trees that you would like to see.
And just connecting with the earth.
And we're gonna go on a little adventure.
And if you drift off to sleep during the adventure,
That's okay.
You can listen another time.
To hear what happens.
So just let your body drift to sleep.
Let the breathing slow.
Just keep your body still and ready for a nice long rest.
So picturing this beautiful garden.
I want you to see yourself.
Quietly standing up.
Walking around,
Visiting each of the plants and flowers.
Approaching the ones that are your favorite color.
And listening,
Listening to the birds chirping.
Listening to.
Butterflies' wings flapping.
Maybe seeing some dragonflies.
And as you walk.
You see a big,
Huge tree.
With a big,
Huge trunk.
And you feel like you want to go over to this tree and give it a great big hug.
So you walk over Approaching slowly.
I'm kind of wondering if it's okay.
To give this tree a great big hug.
Deep down inside you hear the tree say,
Yes,
Please,
I would love a hug from you.
So you run over and you give this gigantic tree the biggest hug ever.
Just sending so much love to the tree.
And feeling this really cool,
Warm sensation,
Just like the tree is giving you a hug back.
So you just stay like this,
Hugging each other.
For a couple of moments.
You're recharging each other's batteries.
Boosting each other with love.
Just feeling this great connection with the tree.
You've thanked the tree.
Keep walking.
Hear the sound.
Birds chirping even louder.
So you walk over to another tree.
And this tree's smaller and you see a nest really low on the branches,
Low enough You can peek inside of this nest,
But you aren't touching the things that are in the nest.
You're just looking.
And you see three baby birds.
And they are baby robins.
Tweeting and squawking.
They're hungry and looking for some food.
So you just watch them for a minute.
They can't fly yet,
But they're wiggling around,
Flapping their wings,
Opening and closing their little beaks.
Squeaking and squawking.
So you just wave to them.
And you let their mom come in.
Feed them.
Continuing your journey.
Walking over.
To some beautiful plants.
That just look to be green.
But when you get closer,
You can see there's something on these plants.
They're caterpillars.
Bright yellow,
White,
And black.
So these are the caterpillars that are going to create cocoons.
And eventually transform into monarch butterflies.
So you get nice and close to the plants which are milkweeds.
And you just sit down and you start counting all of the caterpillars.
One.
Two.
3.
.
.
Four.
Five.
Six,
Seven,
There are so many caterpillars.
Nice and comfy,
Cozy.
Making their homes in this beautiful area.
So you just sit back and watch them walking along crunch crunch crunching on some leaves Maybe it reminds you of a story called The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.
So you just watch these little caterpillars and wonder when they're going to stop moving around and start making their cocoons.
Work work work.
It looks like they're just walking and eating on this plant.
Say wave goodbye.
You're starting to feel sleepy.
And so you move along to this area that just looks like a cozy nest in the forest.
Padded down grass.
It has like a round look to it,
Just a giant nest.
On the ground.
So you walk over.
And as you get closer,
You notice that there's little baby deer.
Have fun!
In this nest curled up in a little ball.
And it's fast asleep.
So you look around and you decide that you won't touch the baby deer but maybe you'll just share this beautiful looking nest with the deer.
So you crawl in and you curl up on the other half just looking over at the little fawn.
Thinking it is so cute.
Close your eyes gently.
Noticing that your breath is slowing down.
Body is relaxing.
And again.
And drift off.
Thinking about this fun little adventure.
Resting easily.
Having a deep,
Relaxing sleep.
For the whole night.
Sweet dreams.
