Settle in,

Get comfy and take three deep breaths with me.

In through the nose and out through the nose.

In through the nose and out through the nose.

Just relax.

Enjoy this time to connect.

Take another breath in through the nose and out through the nose.

It's time to go within,

To a place that we may not be familiar with,

But we once were.

Let's connect,

Check in and see what we discover.

As you look around,

You notice that you are at the top of a mountain.

You can see the clouds right next to you.

You are standing in a spot that you feel safe,

Like you are on top of the world.

You notice the ocean in the distance,

Treetops and winding trails below.

You take a deep breath of that fresh mountain air and feel the clouds gently breezing by.

You begin to open your arms wide,

Like you're getting ready for a gigantic hug.

Your face turns up to the sky and you feel it.

The joy,

The pride,

The expansion.

You are so open and willing to receive pure awesomeness.

You dig back to a time in your life that felt so amazing,

So open,

So fired up,

So proud,

So unstoppable.

You can see exactly what you were doing,

Who you were with and how you felt.

All of those images come flooding in with the memory.

You take a moment to recognize,

Remember and celebrate all of those feelings and all of the amazing energy surrounding that time.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Feel it,

See it,

Enjoy it,

Relive it.

Breathe in.

Now notice how you feel.

Is your body tense or relaxed?

Are you smiling or scrunching your face?

How is your posture?

Strong and tall or crunched and tense?

Are you breathing smoothly with a steady heartbeat?

Take it all in.

Note your feelings.

Let's take a journey to another place by closing our eyes at the mountaintop.

As you open them,

You are next to a beautiful river.

It is small but not so small that you cannot hear the water flowing.

Take a few breaths as you land next to this new landscape.

You feel unsure,

A bit nervous yet safe.

Safe enough to dig into a memory that may be challenging.

I want you to think back to a time that was full of stress or anger or anxiety.

A time that was so full of emotions that seemed hopeless at the time.

A time when you felt defeated,

Low,

Hopeless.

Are you there?

Do you remember?

That time was tough.

It was heavy.

Where were you?

Who were you with?

What were you feeling?

Now let's take inventory.

How are you breathing?

Is it quick and tight?

How does your body feel?

Closed?

Contracted?

Is your face crunched up?

Are you slouched or even curled up?

Remember that?

All right.

Take a deep cleansing breath in and when you exhale,

Send all of those feelings over to the river to take it away.

There's no pressure now.

Keep breathing in the refreshing air and exhaling the last remnants of the painful memory.

You close your eyes as if you were having a really long blink and when you open them,

You are sitting on the most luxurious lounge chair on the most beautiful beach that you can imagine.

Breathe in again and exhale long,

Slow and smooth.

Breathing in that warm ocean air,

Feeling the warm sun on your skin.

Breathe.

You look out at the water,

Watching the waves crash in,

Enjoying the birds flying by,

Taking it all in.

You think about your emotions,

Your body,

And you start to think about the ways that you feel and perceive things.

You wonder how they are connected to your body.

As you look around,

You see an image of something absolutely amazing,

Something that empowers you,

Fills you with joy and love.

What is it?

A person?

An object?

A place?

A certain type of landscape?

What do you see that makes your soul sing?

When you have that image,

You lock it in your heart for safekeeping.

You look in the opposite direction and see something that makes you uneasy,

Feeling nervous or even scared.

You notice how you are reacting in your body.

You quickly look back to the image that gives you joy and notice.

You notice how your body feels soothed by this image.

As you continue to breathe,

You smell something that brings odd feelings to your soul,

A smell that doesn't sit well with you.

What is it?

How do you feel inside?

Are you closed and tense?

What are you feeling at this moment?

Notice the smell and note exactly how you feel.

As a warm breeze blows by,

It takes the smell with it and brings in a beautiful scent of peace,

Joy,

Happiness and serenity.

You happily inhale this scent several times.

What is it?

Coconut?

A specific type of flower?

Cookies baking?

Enjoy that scent for a few more moments.

Suddenly you hear a startling sound that makes your heart pound.

You recognize it and release it.

Instantly you hear a sound that soothes and satisfies your soul.

The sound of seagulls,

Our friends' laughter,

Children playing and laughing.

What do you hear?

Take a deep breath in and out.

Another breath in and out.

Can you think of a flavor of something that you just don't like?

What is it?

How does your mouth react when you taste it?

Do your taste buds shrivel and contract?

Does your neck tense up?

Do you panic?

Deep breath in and out.

Now,

Take a bite of something delicious.

How does your body react to that?

Warm,

Inviting,

Open,

Smiling,

Joy.

What is it that you love the taste of?

Deep breath in and out.

You reach out and feel something that is not good.

You quickly retract your hand and hope that it's gone.

How does your body feel?

Are you trying to get inside of a protective space?

As you lean back,

You feel something that is so amazing,

So comforting.

Is it arms wrapped around you?

A soft blanket against your skin?

Maybe it's the animal that you love petting.

How do you feel?

Soothed?

Happy?

Content?

At ease?

Enjoy it for a few more moments.

As our bodies recover from the multitude of emotions and reactions,

We begin to wonder,

What about the sense that talks to me through my gut?

The feeling deep down that tells me when something isn't right?

What about the tickle of excitement in my core that activates when something is so right?

Let's call it our soul sense.

Can you remember a time when your soul sense called out to you and you listened?

Were you driving and decided to turn right instead of left?

Did you meet someone and just know at your core that this connection was going to be the beginning of something incredible?

As you lay back in your lounger with all of the beautiful sights in front of you,

You take it all in.

You feel brave,

Proud,

Joyful,

And worthy of all of the amazing insights you uncovered.

You begin to understand the connections between your feelings and your body.

You watch the waves for a few more moments,

Listening to the beautiful sounds,

Smelling the fresh ocean air.

You breathe in deeply as you close your eyes.

You can taste the salt on your tongue and feel the sun on your skin.

You feel it deep within your soul that you are exactly where you are meant to be right now.

Take another deep breath in and a deep breath out as you slowly open your eyes and return.

Namaste,

Peace,

And awesomeness to you.
