To begin make sure that you are somewhere where you won't be disturbed and find yourself somewhere comfortable to relax. So to begin I just invite you to find yourself a silent place where you won't be disturbed and just make yourself comfortable by sitting or lying down just ensuring that you have a soft and relaxed spine.

Perhaps if you need to put a pillow under your head or your knees and just making sure that you have a blanket beside you in case you should get cold and just take a long deep relaxing breath in and as you exhale allow your eyes to soften and gently close and again take a nice long deep breath in and exhale slowly and with your next in breath drawing in a sense of peace and with each out breath releasing any tension or tightness breathing in the essence of peace breathing deep into your lungs and then exhaling completely releasing all tension just having the sense of it just falling away from your shoulders from your arms from your jaw each exhale just releasing you from anything that you've been holding onto and each in breath bringing peace and relaxation and just notice those places where your body is connected with the support beneath you and just lean a little bit deeper into the support just feeling your body sinking down with the soft weight of gravity becoming more and more still more and more relaxed with each breath know that in this moment all is well you are safe and supported you can lean in you can let go feel your skeleton gently falling away your body growing heavier and heavier become aware once again of your breath and just listening to the gentle ebb and flow of your breath in and out like the sound of the ocean and just releasing all attachment to any thoughts that might arise just feeling them blowing away like soft clouds on a light breeze your thoughts drifting far away drawing your attention now down to your toes and your feet and just reminding these areas to relax feeling them grow soft and heavy your lower legs your knees and the backs of your knees and your thighs becoming heavier and heavier your buttocks pelvis and hips releasing and relaxing becoming heavy and still your stomach and all of your internal organs becoming soft and relaxed the whole of your spine elongating and releasing your back sinking down relaxed your chest opening and expanding with each breath feeling that nourishing breath massaging your lungs and chest just invited to respond with softness your shoulders drawing down relaxed your arms your hands and fingers becoming heavier and heavier your neck releasing and relaxing your jaw is relaxed your chin is relaxed your cheeks and ears are relaxed your eyes and eyelids growing soft and heavy all tension melting from your forehead all the muscles in your face resting and relaxed feeling all expression just melting away the whole of your head resting and relaxed from the tips of your toes to the top of your head your whole body is heavy and relaxed breathe into the stillness sink into the serenity giving your whole being permission to let go and now i'm going to invite you to bring into your mind an image of the most beautiful place out in nature that you know or can imagine a beautiful safe place a place of perfect stillness and serenity and just beginning to bring all the details of this place into your awareness opening all of your senses what can you see around you notice the time of day and perhaps feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin and for a moment just turning yourself up like a leaf unfurling to the sun and just absorb the sun's warm and healing energies knowing that in this place there is only love and no harm everything is safe everything is loving and holding the light of the sun is healing and warm feeling nourished and relaxed from the inside out and the outside in and then just beginning to the place around you just noticing what sounds you can hear maybe birds in the trees or the sound of the ebb and flow of an ocean what smells should be there and just reach out now and touch anything that you can around you a tree or leaves or sand or stone just exploring this landscape the details becoming clearer and clearer still feeling that warmth from the sun and still that safety and serenity so peaceful is this place that you can almost taste the serenity and as you walk just feeling the earth beneath your feet holding and supporting you grounding you in this moment in time and in space breathe in the peace breathe out the peace feeling the appreciation for this place just letting the whole space embrace you with peace with stillness in this inner sanctuary you can go anywhere you please so just taking time now to explore to swim to float or simply to rest and relax in this deep inner stillness where you are held where you are safe where you are nourished and deeply loved if you would like to stay longer in your inner sanctuary just reach out and press pause on this sound clip for those who are ready to return to waking consciousness begin to become aware of the feeling of peace and serenity and then just slowly reconnecting with your breath noticing its depth its pace its temperature and just begin to elongate that breath allowing it to deepen and with that depth a sense of energy coming back into your body just inhaling that energy inhaling that alertness and just feeling this energy of each inhale each inhale slowly beginning to awaken your body from the tips of your toes all the way up to the top of your head and then just beginning to notice the sounds around you and when you're ready and only in your own time begin to move your body gently and finally to open your eyes it was a pleasure to guide you through this meditation today and just to let you know that you can return to this safe and peaceful place whenever you need this is your safe place your inner sanctuary

I love the lull where there were no words spoken but just soft music in the background for us to visualise and immerse ourselves into our safe place - that lull felt like such a rich space to wander around in. Thank you for a beautiful meditation ❀️

I loved that you led us through our body to this safe place, and then allowed lots of time simply to be there and explore. I sometimes find it hard to visualise things, but this worked really well for me, and even after the meditation is over, I can still feel the peace and safety of this place in my body and heart.
