And today I'm going to be guiding you on a journey to calm your mind and ease over thinking.
We've all been there when our thoughts seem to be way more intrusive than helpful.
This meditation is designed to help you pause,
Breathe,
And return to a state of tranquility by guiding you to your happy place.
So let's find a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
Closing your eyes if that feels safe and comfortable to do so.
Otherwise,
Just soften your gaze,
Focusing softly on something right in front of you.
Begin to take a deep breath in through your nose,
Filling your lungs completely.
Hold for a moment and slowly release through your mouth,
Exhaling any tension.
Take another deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Allow your shoulders to drop away from your ears.
Allow your body to relax a little bit more into the surface beneath you.
With each breath,
Let yourself sink a little deeper into the support,
Feeling safe and secure.
Now bringing your attention fully to your breath,
Noticing how your breath falls back into its natural rhythm without trying to change or alter it,
Just observing the gentle rise and fall of your chest and abdomen.
As you breathe in,
Imagine that you are inhaling a soothing,
Warm light.
This light represents calm and peace.
And as you breathe out,
Imagining releasing any thoughts or worries that do not serve you,
Watching them dissolve into the air.
Now let's guide our minds to our happy place.
This is a place where you feel completely at ease and content.
It could be a real location,
A memory,
Or a place that you create in your mind.
Begin to picture yourself in this place now.
What do you see?
What do you feel?
Take in all the details of your happy place.
Notice the colors,
The sounds,
The smells.
Feel the textures around you.
Maybe it's the warmth of the sun on your skin or a gentle breeze.
Maybe someone you love is in this place with you.
Immerse yourself fully in this scene as if you were experiencing it right now.
And as you continue to breathe deeply and steadily,
Allow yourself to soak in the joy and the peace of your happy place.
Feel the calmness spreading through your body,
From the top of your head to the tips of your toes.
If overthinking thoughts arise,
Gently acknowledge them and let them go by refocusing on your happy place.
Remember it's okay for your thoughts to come and go.
You can always bring your attention back to the serene and happy place.
Let's spend a few more moments here,
Savoring the sense of peace and contentment that your happy place brings you.
Know that you can always return to this place whenever you need to find calm and clarity.
Beginning to bring your awareness gently to the present moment.
Landing back in your body.
Connecting again with the surface beneath you that supports your body.
Notice where your feet are in space.
Begin to wiggle your toes.
Begin to move your fingers and your hands.
And when you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Choosing to carry the sense of calm and peace with you throughout your day.
Remembering that you can return to your happy place whenever you need a moment of tranquility.
It is always available to you.
