Welcome.
This meditation is designed to help you prepare for your morning journaling session,
Or if you're familiar with Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way,
For your morning pages.
It is a simple visualization practice to help you release anything you don't want to carry into your practice this morning and then to welcome in any insights.
You can feel free to make this practice as much of a ritual as you would like.
Light a candle,
Burn herbs,
Diffuse essential oils,
Bring out your favorite crystals,
Or have a special beverage ready to go,
If any of those are your thing.
Go ahead and find a comfortable position for yourself to meditate and write in today.
Have any writing materials within reach,
And bring over anything you might need to support you,
Such as a pillow,
Cushion,
Or blankets.
Once you are settled,
You can close your eyes if that feels comfortable,
Or find a fixed point just ahead of you to gaze upon.
Start by releasing any breath that you are holding,
Start by releasing any breath that you are holding,
And take a slow breath in.
Exhale,
Open mouth,
Sigh it out.
Inhale,
And exhale,
Sigh it out.
Continue to breathe in and out of your nose,
At your own rhythm and pace.
I invite you to imagine that you are sitting in front of a bonfire.
The flames are bouncing ever so gently in response to the wind.
Your journal and a pen are on your lap.
Your journal is open to a blank page.
On this page,
I welcome you to write down anything you'd like to release before you begin writing today.
This can be any thoughts,
Feelings,
Or patterns that may block you from receiving clear insights today.
When you are done writing these,
Rip the piece of paper out of your journal and toss it into the fire,
Allowing all of it to be released.
Gaze now at the flames as you welcome in any insights from your higher self,
Soul,
Or spirit team.
Call on your inner voice to guide you as you begin to write.
Gaze now at the flames as you welcome in any insights from your higher self,
Soul,
Or spirit team.
Call on your inner wisdom to shed its light in your writing today.
Stay with this image for a few more breaths.
You may begin to step back from this image now,
Returning to the present moment in your physical space as you prepare to write.
Gently blink your eyes a few times to help you adjust back to the space around you.
Feel free to take any movements you might need before you begin writing.
The music will continue to play without my voice for about 10 minutes,
Allowing you to focus on your writing with some ambient music in the background.
The music will fade out when the track is done.
I wish you all the best with your writing journey today.
Thank you so much for joining me.
