Love Awareness Exercise Begin by closing your eyes and knowing that you're safe for the duration of this short and simple exercise.
Next,
Simply come to an awareness of your body while allowing yourself to relax.
If you're standing,
Feel yourself standing.
If you're seated,
Feel that,
Such as the weight of your body as you sit and how that feels at this time.
Letting go of any judgments and simply observe how your body feels right now.
Allow yourself to come to the state of simple,
Relaxed observation.
Next,
Gently bring your attention to your heart area in the center of your chest.
Notice any particular feelings in this area,
And if you notice nothing right now,
That's perfectly okay.
Now,
Create an image in your mind of someone who brings you joy.
Perhaps someone that you love,
Or a good friend,
Or a lover,
Maybe even a pet.
Within your closed eyes,
Imagine that person or pet being right in front of you,
Right now.
Imagine this as vividly as you can.
Notice that the minute you think of them,
You feel a sense of joy or happiness.
And as you're seeing them there,
Bring your attention back to your heart area,
And notice the feelings that are there.
And know that this feeling is love.
Perhaps these feelings are even throughout your entire body.
Allow yourself to connect with these feelings as deeply as you can.
Now imagine yourself sharing good wishes with this loved one.
As if you're saying aloud to them that you wish them perhaps serenity,
Good health,
Security,
Or simple happiness in their life.
Use the words that make sense for you as you share these feelings of endearment and good wishes.
And as you do so,
Allow yourself awareness of your feelings as you share these words with them.
Now see if you can allow these feelings throughout your entire body.
And now you're going to replace your loved one's image with a reflection of yourself where they were.
Say those same words to that reflection of yourself that you just spoke to your loved one.
Allow yourself to notice how you feel as you do this.
I wish for you happiness,
Serenity,
And love.
And now you can open your eyes whenever you're ready.
