And just start to feel your body arriving here.

Feel your breath move through your body.

Feel yourself supported by the chair that you're on.

Feel your sweater on your skin.

And as you breathe,

See if you can feel your feet on the floor.

And feeling yourself connected.

Notice where you may be connected to yourself.

With your hands touching each other,

Your ankles interlocked.

And feel your breath expand your body.

With every inhale,

Your body expanding.

And every exhale,

Your body contracting.

Just as life expands and contracts around us.

In your mind's eye,

Allowing yourself to travel to a safe place.

Without censoring or conjuring,

Simply allow yourself to arrive at a place that is completely safe.

It might be somewhere you've been before,

Or a place that is imaginal,

But it is a place where you exist in complete and utter safety.

Where nothing bad can happen here.

And as you breathe,

Take a few moments to look around and notice what it's like here.

If it's day or dusk.

If it's warm or cool,

Feel the temperature of your safe place on your skin.

Notice what you hear in your safe place.

If there's music,

Birds,

Wind.

Simply notice what you hear.

And as you breathe,

Allow yourself to connect more with what's around you.

And as you look around your safe place,

Notice what appears.

What the landscape is like.

If there are buildings or shelter,

Trees or forest.

If there's water or hills.

Notice what arrives in your safe place when you allow yourself to see.

Take a few moments to walk around,

Noticing what it's like to bring movement with safety.

To be in a place that is new,

Yet familiar.

A place that has always been within you.

And as you move through your safe place,

You come across a shelter.

Notice if it's a tent,

A cottage,

A house,

A mansion,

An apartment.

Notice where you can find shelter in your safe place.

It has everything you need to be comfortable.

It has everything you need to relax,

To unwind,

And to let go.

Notice how safe and cozy it is to be in this sheltered space.

A place within your safe place that you can retreat to.

Notice how it smells.

Notice if there's a place for you to sit or lay down.

If there's blankets or books.

This safe place is a sanctuary for you.

There is nothing that can hurt you here.

You are fully safe to be yourself,

To exist.

To feel.

Notice if there's anything else that this safe shelter needs.

And see how it appears.

Anything that you can imagine,

You can call upon here.

Take a few moments just to take in this shelter,

This sanctuary.

Feeling your hands run along the walls.

Feeling the edges of this safe sanctuary.

And as you leave,

Looking back,

Knowing that you can come back here at any moment that you need.

As you move through the sanctuary,

Back into your safe place,

Into the landscape,

Feel yourself greeted with calm,

With joy,

With peace.

Notice what it's like to experience peace in every fiber of your being.

Every cell of your body,

There is peace.

As you breathe,

Feel yourself let go of any tension.

Knowing that this safe space is inviolable.

This is only for you.

This is the place that you get to expand.

That you get to be yourself.

As you breathe,

Feel,

Feel into the edges of your safe place,

Knowing that it is protected within you.

It is a place where you can fully trust.

And notice what that's like.

On your next inhale,

Feel yourself slowly exiting your safe place,

Knowing you can come back here at any time.

It is a place fully for you.

And as you breathe,

Feeling your mind's eye return to your body,

Still connected to that feeling of peace.

And as you feel your breath connect to your feet,

Rooted to the floor,

Feeling yourself supported by the chair,

Feeling as you breathe,

Your breath expand and contract,

Feeling your sweater on your skin and connecting to that inner peace that exists within you.

And as you breathe,

Feel yourself arrive back here,

Connecting to yourself,

This moment,

Whenever you're ready,

Gently and compassionately fluttering your eyes open and returning to this space.
