Dear friends,
I'd like to offer you this meditation as a form of motivation to help to bring out the best in you.
I hope it's going to bring you to a place of good resolution each morning.
But maybe before we begin we should take 60 seconds,
One minute,
To allow ourselves to come into this present moment,
To leave the past where it belongs and to leave the future to tomorrow,
Just so that we can be present and we can make these resolutions for today.
Welcome back.
May I be well today and tomorrow.
May I experience happiness in my life.
May I find contentment in all that I have.
May I remain hopeful in the face of uncertainty and change.
In times of difficulty,
May I face all my fears bravely and overcome any fear by taking action.
Teach me to notice my glass as half full,
Never half empty.
May I always expect the best from others and may I always try my best to give of my reasonable best.
May I be grateful for my existence in this time and place,
Remembering I did nothing to deserve this good fortune.
May I accept that what is past is past.
Teach me to leave the past where it belongs and to concentrate my attention on what I can do in the present.
May I accept with gratitude the light of each new day.
Teach me to be grateful for the people who know and love me,
Despite my faults and failings.
And let me never take the people in my life for granted.
May I treat other people with respect,
Accepting their right to be different from me and celebrating that difference with them.
Let me be willing to come to the aid of people in need,
Sharing my time,
My talents and my resources,
Remembering to carry a pocketful of change for anyone I come across who is sitting out hungry and cold.
There but for fortune.
And what if that person was me?
Every day remind me that we all pass through this world but once.
Therefore any good that I can do,
Let me do it now,
Today.
Let me not delay or postpone it any longer,
Remembering I will not pass this way again.
This day is a new beginning,
The first day of the rest of my life.
Namaste.
Now I invite you if you wish to spend a couple of minutes listening to some quiet music before you re-enter your day.
