Hello,
Sweet one.
Come as you are today.
Whatever you're arriving with is welcome here.
So come scattered,
Come messy,
But just arrive.
Place one palm on top of your heart and the other palm on top of your low belly.
Begin to slow down your breath and as you breathe in,
Breathe all the way down towards your low belly.
Fill up your palms with the warmth of you,
With the breath of you.
And with each exhale breath,
Allow for some softening,
Some space for letting go.
What is awake within your heart right now?
And can you breathe a little further into it?
We often go about our day with the mind running the show.
And today we'll remember the medicine and the wisdom of the heart.
This truth that we can always come back to when we get quiet enough to listen.
Allow your breath to move you and allow these words to remind you of your wholeness.
The mind says,
I don't have enough.
And the heart says,
I have everything I need right here inside.
The mind says,
I want more.
And the heart says,
I need less.
The mind says,
I should be running.
And the heart says,
I should be listening.
The mind says,
I'll be worthy when.
And the heart says,
I am worthy now.
The mind says,
I could be doing more.
And the heart says,
Look at all you have done.
The mind says,
I am unproductive.
And the heart says,
Child,
Take your shoes off and put your feet up.
Rest is an essential nutrient of a balanced life.
The mind says,
I am not enough.
And the heart says,
Each breath in and each breath out is a reminder that simply to be alive is to be enough.
The mind says,
I am not beautiful.
And the heart aching with sorrow says,
Child,
I will never stop marveling at your inherent beauty.
The sparkle in your eyes upon the offering of a new morning the creases and lines etched amongst the landscape of your golden skin,
Like streams carving themselves into a river,
Wisening with age.
The mind says,
I am defined by my achievements.
And the heart says,
I cannot be defined by anything other than my mere aliveness.
The mind says,
I want to be perfect.
And the heart says,
The parts of you that you have deemed as flawed are the parts of you that I love the most.
The mind sighs and says,
I am tired now.
Oh,
How exhausted I am of berating myself,
Of reaching towards a version of me I've defined as better or more presentable or more deserving or more worthy.
And the heart says,
Come to me,
Sweet child.
You can take rest here.
Sweet one,
Rest in the solace of your heart.
This inner terrain that knows its innate wholeness worthiness,
Completion and perfection.
Sometimes the mind forgets,
But the heart always knows.
Thank you so much for remembering this truth with me today.
I'll see you next time.
