Hi,
I'm Tracy Stein,
And this is a meditation to ease pain.
And enhance calm and comfort.
So now,
Just allow your body to settle in for the time being.
This is the time to go within,
In whatever way is most right for you in the now.
Wonderful.
Just like that.
So give yourself permission to settle in nicely.
And invite your breath.
Your body's natural mechanism for healing.
And ease.
To guide you to a place of peace.
And comfort.
Whatever that means for you in this moment.
You And the really lovely thing is that there is no one right way to do this.
However you are in this moment.
Is just right.
You and you can trust that your wisest self can guide you.
And you'll easily be able to change the imagery as you see fit.
Whatever that means in this moment.
Taking in what's helpful.
And leaving everything else behind.
And there's nothing else you need to be doing.
Because in this moment,
And in this peaceful space.
The doing is in the letting.
The most natural thing in the world.
And so you can continue to allow part of your awareness to simply notice your breath.
And another part of your awareness can move to a place in your body or in your mind that feels really comfortable.
An oasis of calm.
Or perhaps what you notice now is a place of easy neutrality.
Just observe what you sense.
Perhaps the tip of your nose.
Or the lobe of an ear.
Or perhaps someplace else entirely.
A place you might not normally notice,
Because it feels so calm.
Sometimes it takes a little longer to become aware of what feels good.
Or again,
Simply neutral.
So just allow your attention to move there.
And breathe.
Wonderful.
And because in the mind all things are possible.
You can send the breath.
So easily.
To any areas that have felt tight or tense.
And just allow these to release.
In the way that's best for you.
Any tight muscle fiber is unwinding.
As if your body was a beautiful piece of silk fabric.
And you could imagine lightly taking your finger and smoothing out any folds or creases.
Everything seamlessly falling into place.
Or perhaps you notice now how the breath can amplify those feelings of calm.
The comfort or neutrality that you notice within you.
You and with each inhalation.
The ease can expand.
So breathe into that.
And with each exhalation,
You can release anything else.
Letting the comfort spread like water in a beautiful and clear stream.
Easily moving over and around obstacles.
Flowing past any branches or rocks.
Intuitively finding its way.
Just like that.
And any tightness can be like dried leaves resting on the surface of the water.
Easily transported away.
Leaving the stream so clear once again.
And I don't really know which will be the most helpful.
Seeing the imagery so vividly in your mind.
Or simply feeling a growing sense of comfort.
Easily amplifying.
And breathing through everything else.
And what a wonderful thing it is to remember that your mind was designed to do this.
To help you feel good.
And balanced.
Easily and well.
So breathe.
And release.
And you can give yourself as much time as you like.
Whether a little or a lot.
To feel happy and grateful.
For the wonder and miracle that is you.
Beautiful.
You And now that you've cultivated this wonderful state of peace and ease,
Whatever it is in this moment,
You can anchor these feelings in your body and mind.
By making a simple gesture.
It can be anything you like,
And as simple as touching two fingers together or placing a hand over your heart.
Whatever feels most natural to you.
So do this now.
And breathe.
And in a moment,
You'll return once again to normal waking alertness.
Grounded in the present moment,
But still really comfortable.
So now notice as your breathing reawakens your body and mind.
With each breath.
Feeling clearer and clearer.
Comfortably sensing your body in the present,
Wherever you find yourself.
Becoming more aware of the temperature of the air in the room.
Any sounds around you.
Your mind,
So clear.
Completely alert now.
And with a few more deep breaths and noticing any urges to stretch or shift.
Fully awake and alert now and ready to return to your day.
You may wish to note any insights that you observed that felt especially helpful,
And have some sips of water or tea before returning once again to your day.
