Welcome.

This one is for the soul from the soul.

I invite you to find a comfortable supported space to rest easefully whether that is resting on your back or finding a comfortable seat on the floor or in a chair.

And as you begin to land in this space and settle in I welcome you to close down the eyes and simply receive these words.

Dear hurried soul,

What are you rushing towards?

Who told you that by doing more your worth would rise?

When did you forget that the essence of you is to be?

To absorb life slowly as the rain soaking into the dry earth.

To move lightly in truth the way a feather floats softly in the wind.

To express from a place of steadiness built from within like the ancient oak trees.

You are one of the rarest creations.

To be pushed and pulled by the external world was never part of why you are here.

Have you forgotten?

You were once born gentle landing here in this body and heart to guide it lovingly through the fullness of life.

But somewhere along the way you got lost my unrushed soul.

Swept up in the world's burning desire to be something perceived grander than you already are.

Your pace quickened to achieve.

Your hope to just be seen hidden beneath who you think you have to be until the warmth of your light grew dim.

Until you grew worn.

But I'm here now.

I'm here to remember your ways.

I'm here to tune into your steady rhythm pulsing through your real reason why.

I'm here to bask in your soft glow of knowing.

I'm here to be unrushed in this one precious moment.

Rest deeply here now and listen from within.

Receive a tender breath in and exhale a long loving breath out.

Keep breathing just like this.

Allowing every breath to gather you back in.

Slowly.

Softly.

Unhurried.

Into this moment.

Into what is real.

Into what is true.

Let each breath lift the body slowly and empty it out completely over and over.

One breath in.

One breath out.

Patient and steady.

And in between the gentle waves of inhales and exhales begin to listen for the whisper of your soul from within.

Undefined by anything beyond your skin.

And welcome grace for wherever you are to weave back in.

Release resistance to be anything other than who you are in this moment.

For it is here in the quiet space between that your soul softly lingers.

Always waiting for your tender care.

So offer it here now.

Notice the way it responds to this slowing down.

To its familiar pace.

To the comfort of offered time.

Land deeper in its presence by resting one hand on your heart and the other on your belly.

Feel it move through you and become aware of what it's saying.

What do you hear?

What truth is calling you when you get quiet and still?

You know.

Let this embodiment of slowing down and these whispered truths remind you.

You no longer need to dash through this world.

To be in true integrity with your soul's work is found in those moments of deeper being.

May you reside there often to live more fully from your unrushed soul.

So beautiful! I know this is a meditation I will return to over and over when I need a way to slow down and refocus my life from the treadmill of doing and achieving to the peace of being.
