For this meditation,
Find a tree that you can look at comfortably while sitting.
If you don't have access to a tree,
A leafy green plant is also good.
Now find a comfortable position to sit in and softly gaze at the tree.
Realize that this meditation is not about worshipping the tree,
But it is about the exchange between you and the tree,
The connection.
Nothing and no one exists in a bubble,
And even if you live in a concrete jungle with barely any green around you,
You are part of this exchange when you breathe.
You breathe in what the trees breathe out,
And what you breathe out,
The trees breathe in again.
Become aware of this connection and this exchange for a few breaths.
Now let's slow down the breath a little bit.
Breathe in slowly and receive,
And then breathe out easily and give.
Breathe in slowly and receive,
Breathe out easily and give.
Breathe in slowly and receive,
Breathe out easily and give.
Breathe in slowly and receive,
Breathe out easily and give.
Breathe in slowly and receive,
Breathe out easy and give.
Keep this slow rhythm of breath while staying focused on the exchange between you and the tree.
If you get distracted,
Just gently pull your attention back to the breath and the exchange.
Breathe in slowly and receive,
Breathe out easy and give.
Breathe in slowly and receive,
Breathe out easy and give.
Breathe in slowly and receive,
Breathe out easy and give.
Breathe in slowly and receive,
Breathe out easy and give.
Now gently let go of that breathing pattern,
Close your eyes and feel how you feel,
The sensations of the body,
The emotions that are present right now.
And observe the thoughts that cross your mind.
Now bring some movement into the body,
Inhale your toes and your fingers,
Stretch your arms up if you feel like it and then take a big deep breath in and hold and then let it all out.
And whenever you're ready,
Just take your time,
You can slowly open your eyes.
Take your time.
I hope you enjoyed this meditation.
Thank you for joining me and have a great day.
