Good morning and welcome to this short centering meditation.
My name is Victoria and I am so happy that you are here today.
Start by finding a comfortable position,
Whether seated or lying down.
And now bring your awareness to your breath.
Notice how your belly rises with each inhale and softens with the exhale.
Take a few breaths here at your natural pace and start to connect to this movement of your breath moving your belly up and down.
If your mind is wandering,
That's okay.
Try your best to keep it focused on the sensation of your breath.
And now let's take three deep cleansing breaths here together.
Inhale through your nose and exhale.
Sigh it out your mouth.
Do that two more times at your own pace and slowly return to your natural breath.
Focusing on that sensation of your belly moving up and down.
Bring to mind an intention you would like to set for your day ahead.
Maybe something like,
I am grounded in the present moment or today will be an amazing day.
Anything that resonates with the energy you would like to cultivate for your day.
Once you have your intention in mind,
Take three deep breaths and repeat it to yourself three times.
You might even want to place your hands on your heart to remind yourself that this is where your intention lies.
Now that you've planted your intention for the day,
Take a moment to send yourself gratitude for starting your day with self-care and presence.
Know that any time throughout your day you can bring a sense of peace into your world and connect to the present moment simply by noticing your breath.
Let's take one last cleansing breath here together.
Breathe in through your nose and exhale.
Sigh it out.
