Take a nice couple of deep breaths and a rhythm that pleases you.
And as you do that,
Begin to relax.
The goal of your day,
Whatever's on your mind,
Just let it drift away.
And come with me today on a journey to the tip of a wave.
Imagine if you will,
Many different waves,
An ocean wave,
A ripple on a pond,
Large,
Small,
Active,
Slow.
Just take a moment.
Think of all the waves you've played in or heard or seen or would like to see.
A wave of ice.
A wave of mist.
Pick.
Pick one now.
Pick tip of a wave that interests you.
And the tip of a wave,
Of course,
Is sitting in our exercise frozen for a moment.
Full of expectation,
Full of potentiality,
About to crash on the beach or hit a rock or smuggle up against the edge of a pond.
And as you contemplate and consider the tip of your wave,
Just imagine you can dive into it.
You can enter into this frozen moment,
Hanging over an air,
And feel what it's like,
Perhaps,
To be a wave.
And this tip,
Of course,
Is the edge of all the other water.
The rest of the wave,
The waves yet to come,
The body of water it's representing,
Large or small,
Fast or slow.
Not only is the tip of the wave a part of this body of water,
But it's connected to all the rest of the water around the planet.
Take a moment and consider that possibility.
Feel what it means,
Perhaps,
To be a wave.
And that built up potential,
That dynamic energy of waves cascading,
Spilling their bounty and their beauty onto the land being soaked up in part by the land.
Much of the wave returning back to the body of water,
Back as a wave,
The circular aspect of that.
It's like waves of gravity,
Waves of electromagnetic fields.
Tip of a wave of water is an extraordinary thing.
Feel the electricity,
The potentiality,
Ready to shift its state to water on land or water back in the ocean.
And all across the planet,
As we speak,
Millions upon millions of waves and tips of waves are cascading onto the shores and returning.
Feel the rhythm of that,
The eternal pattern.
Feel what it's like to be the tip and then to soak back in,
To be perched and arcing and soaked back in.
And when you're ready,
Give thanks for this beautiful aspect of nature.
Come back into the room.
And have a wonderful day.
