Hello and welcome.
Take your time to arrive here,
Settling into your space,
Into your body.
You can be seated or lying down,
Whatever feels comfortable right now.
Start with a deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Let go of anything you don't need right now.
A few more breaths if you like.
And then,
Let your breath return to its natural rhythm.
Bring your attention to where your body touches support,
Perhaps your chair,
Or the bed,
Or the floor.
Notice gravity holding you.
You don't have to hold yourself up completely.
Let the shoulders drop a little.
Unclench the jaw if needed.
Maybe soften the belly.
And just notice,
Is there tension somewhere?
Warmth?
Coolness?
Movement with the breath?
No need to change anything.
Awareness itself is already care.
So what is self-worth?
Self-worth is your inherent sense of value,
The deep inner knowing that you are worthy of love,
Care,
And existence,
Simply because you exist.
It's not based on achievements,
Roles,
Or how others see you.
It's the quiet foundation that says,
I am enough,
No matter what.
So much rests on self-worth.
Without it,
We often find ourselves chasing validation.
With it,
We can begin to rest more in our own being.
Self-worth is like a root system.
Quiet,
Unseen,
But holding up everything.
Now,
Gently ask inside,
Where do I feel my sense of worth in my body today?
There's no right or wrong answer.
Maybe it's in the chest,
Or your belly,
Or your throat.
Maybe nowhere at all.
All of that is welcome.
If you notice contraction or heaviness,
Place a hand there if it feels okay.
Not to fix it,
Just to say,
I'm here with you.
And now,
If it resonates for you,
Imagine that beneath everything you've lived,
Roles,
Achievements,
Mistakes,
Wounds,
There is a quiet core,
A steady presence.
Some call it the self.
Some call it essence.
Some call it soul.
Some simply call it life moving through you.
This part of you has never lost its worth.
Not once.
See if you can sense it,
Even faintly.
Maybe like a small light,
A gentle warmth,
A calm space,
Or simply a feeling of being alive.
You don't have to fully believe it.
Just be curious.
And here are a few affirmations you can try on.
Notice how they land in your body.
I matter because I exist.
I'm learning that my worth is not up for negotiation.
I don't need to prove anything to belong.
Just notice what happens inside.
Now imagine that this quiet core is breathing with you.
On each inhale,
Worth coming in.
On each exhale,
Pressure to prove yourself leaving.
And you can take a few breaths like this.
Inhale,
Worth in.
Exhale,
Pressure out.
And if you'd like,
You can add these words.
Inhale,
I don't have to earn my existence.
Exhale,
I'm allowed to be here.
Let the words land in your body.
I don't have to earn my existence.
I'm allowed to be here.
And gently remind yourself,
My worth isn't something I create by effort.
It's something I learned to remember.
Even on days I forget,
It hasn't disappeared.
Take a few more breaths here and savor this moment.
You can stay here as long as you like,
As long as you need.
And whenever you're ready,
Slowly return to your natural breathing.
Notice your body again,
Your hands,
Your feet,
The support under you,
The sounds around you.
Slowly,
Gently.
And when you're ready,
Softly open your eyes and carry this quiet knowing with you.
You don't have to become worthy.
You already are.
And you're learning to feel it.
Thank you for joining me today.
Take gentle care.
