This 15-minute guided meditation begins with a single point of focus — a “pixel” in your field of vision — and gently expands into the full panorama of awareness. Step by step, you’ll move from narrow visual focus to wide, open seeing, then include body sensations, sounds, and finally rest in the steady presence that holds it all. A simple practice for expanding perspective, reducing stress, and reconnecting with awareness itself — perfect for daily meditation, presence training, or easing mental tension.

Transcript

Welcome to this session,

Begin by sitting comfortably,

Eyes open with a soft gaze,

Pick one tiny point in front of you,

One pixel on the wall,

A speck on the floor,

Whatever it is,

That's your anchor.

So let the breath be natural,

Rest your gaze on that one point now,

And if the mind wanders,

Gently return the eyes to the point,

And let the body be quiet.

So focus on that point now,

We'll rest and quiet for a minute,

And now,

Without leaving the pixel,

Allow a little more to enter the frame,

A shape around it,

A hint of light and shadow,

Keep the pixel primary,

And everything else secondary,

We'll rest and quiet for a moment,

Notice you can attend narrowly without strain,

And now,

In one slow breath,

Let the whole visual field come alive,

Walls,

Light and ceiling,

And even the floor,

Peripheral vision is wide now,

Keep the pixel in awareness,

But no longer at the center,

Feel how spacious seeing already is,

All by itself,

And now,

With the panorama open,

Include body sensations,

Like your seat,

Your feet,

Temperature and breath,

See and feel at the same time,

And if thoughts appear,

Notice them as inner visuals within the same space,

And the panorama remains open,

And now,

Include sound near and far,

The room tone,

Distant traffic,

And even small noises,

So let sight,

Body and sound be one field,

No hierarchy,

And listen to those sounds now,

We'll rest and quiet for a moment,

Notice the field changes,

But knowing of the field is steady,

And now,

Ask quietly,

What is constant when the panorama flows,

Not the pixel,

And not even the room,

The awareness in which they appear,

So rest as that,

Eyes still open,

And the world included,

We'll rest and quiet for a moment,

So let a few breaths pass with nothing to manage,

Soften the gaze now,

And even blink a few times,

Let the neck and shoulders move gently now,

And carry this wide panorama of knowing,

Into the next thing you do,

Namaste.
