Healing Drums 20 - Traditional Yoruba Nigeria (Heal)
by JM Py
Created with Christopher Ifeloluwa, this 20-minute piece centers on the Bata—the highest-ranking "mother drum" from Oyo, Nigeria. In Yoruba philosophy, these drums are communicators used to trigger emotional shifts and "clear the path" for inner order. We use these pulses as a mechanical tool for physical relief. The Bata’s resonance speaks directly to the nervous system. If the drumming begins to sound structured or you feel a sense of quietness, your mind has found its anchor. It is a practical environment for letting go of stress and finding ease. No grand miracles—just the ancient mechanics of rhythm working on the body. Drums and Healing category (heal): This is about physical relief. These deep, grounding pulses are designed to help your body "let go" of stored stress, opening a channel for your emotions to flow out freely and naturally.
