Hello.
Intention.
Each morning we have the promise starting over.
Each morning we have the promise to reset.
New Year's is normally a time for new beginnings and many set intentions,
Resolutions or goals for the next year.
Goals may be long-term,
Resolutions are normally long-term,
But intentions gives us an option.
We can set a intention just for the day,
Even an intention for the hour.
You have flexibility in your intention and your intention can be achieved whereas goals may flitter away and be seen as a failure if you do not meet them.
So let's begin.
Bringing the intention to your mind.
Take a deep breath in.
Your eyes are closed.
Notice your body in this space.
As you breathe,
Notice you can guide your breath through your body.
Draw your attention to the centre of your head.
The space between your eyebrows.
Imagine going deep into the centre of your consciousness.
At any time your mind begins to wander,
Bring your awareness back to this spot.
Bring your intention to mind.
Imagine writing it down.
Imagine it being said.
Imagine telling a close friend of your intention.
Imagine your intention as a ball of energy.
What colour would it be?
Would it be warm?
Would it be cool?
Imagine a beautiful funnel over your head.
This golden funnel simply floats above your head and invites only the best,
The most beautiful energy into you.
Imagine the funnel draws energy of your intention into your body.
Breathe in this intentional energy.
Living intentionally means consciously deciding what to do with your time.
Your focus stays intact.
Choosing what to do with each hour helps you feel less stressed,
Less anxious.
We all get 24 hours and it is our intention to ensure we spend that time well.
So set your intention for the next hour.
Take a few minutes every morning to decide what to do,
What you want to accomplish and when.
It could be as simple as I intend to lead by example.
I intend to see the goodness around me.
I intend to be kind when I feel pressure.
I intend to make someone smile.
I intend to make mindfulness an important part of my day.
Set your intention,
Call it forward into your life and take it into the next hour,
The next day,
The next week,
The next month and into this new year.
Namaste.
