Welcome to The Beautiful Mind.
My name is Yousef and this is a short evening meditation to help you come home to yourself.
Find a comfortable seat and make yourself truly cozy.
If you need an extra cushion to relax more deeply,
Go ahead and take a moment to get fully settled or simply lie down if that feels better to you.
Let's begin with a few gentle relaxation exercises.
Slowly turn your head from right to left and from left to right and notice how that feels in your neck.
Do it gently,
Slowly and firmly.
Do it a couple of times and then gently tilt your head from center to left and back to center and then to the right,
Stretching the neck muscles softly.
Do that a couple of times as well.
And now roll your shoulders in slow circles from front to back and feel how big or small those circles are that you're drawing through the air.
And now come into the present moment with a few fresh deep breaths.
Feel your breath deepen and let the day begin to pass.
Do you remember what you had for breakfast today?
When you smiled for the first time today?
When you felt really good and why?
Let your breath hold love for all that you managed to get done today and also for everything left under.
Everything has its time.
Some days things flow more easily than others and that's perfectly okay.
Allow yourself patience.
Take all the time you need.
Let your breath bring stillness as you now breathe naturally and evenly through your nose in and out.
With every breath relax deeper into yourself.
No matter what happened today,
Yesterday,
Or long ago,
I know this here is just about celebrating today.
Nothing more,
Nothing less.
Look inward.
See the beauty in silence.
Let your body grow heavy,
Sinking softly into your seat.
As you inhale again,
Lift your head slightly and draw your chin gently toward your chest.
You'll notice a sense of uprightness,
An inner alignment,
A quiet awareness of your true presence.
Feel your body now.
Trace your spine upward from the tailbone to the crown of your head vertebra,
Like walking gently through a peaceful forest on a mild summer evening.
Pause here for a second and sense the steep state of rest within you,
Like the still surface of a forest lake that has found its peace.
Your shoulders are soft and calm and your face is completely relaxed.
Feel your forehead smooth,
Your jaws release,
And let your eyes settle.
Let your nose,
Ears,
Mouth,
And even your brain soften.
There is nothing you need to think about right now.
Nothing left to do,
Nothing left to achieve.
Your journey for today is done.
It's enough to simply observe,
To feel,
To be present.
Now bring your attention back to your breath.
Feel the life within you,
Subtle and yet powerful.
Immerse yourself in that life,
As if sliding into a pool of warm,
Silver water.
Do you feel how it wraps your body in comfort?
Just swim a few strokes in this beautiful consistency and experience your inner harmony.
Your love.
Your life.
Everything within you synchronizes for a moment of genuine unity.
Everything in you belongs.
Just the way you are,
You are complete.
And feel this completeness within you.
It shows that you already carry everything you need to be whole.
Trust your breath like your closest friend.
Trust yourself.
Trust this inner glow.
All thoughts are now quiet within you.
You feel a deep inner peace and stillness.
Your body is completely relaxed,
Calm and at ease.
You sense a positive inner posture,
A quiet satisfaction with this day,
A gentle acceptance of what is.
Welcome to this inner home.
You can now slowly and gently return to this physical reality surrounding you by taking a few deep breaths to reconnect with the space.
How do you feel now?
How has the sense of self shifted compared to before the meditation?
Now take a moment to feel that change and carry with you whatever you need to end your day in peace like a joyful swift gliding through the dusk.
And with that image I say goodbye for now and wish you a beautiful time in your inner home.
If you'd like,
Feel free to leave a comment and share how this meditation felt for you.
A little self-reflection never hurts and I'm always happy to also hear from you.
That said,
Until next time.
