Aloha Sweet Soul.
Welcome to your daily meditation.
My name's Julianne Arce,
And I'll be your guide during this time.
If you're here,
It's probably because something is asking a lot of you right now.
Maybe more than one thing.
Maybe everything all at once.
You don't have to explain it.
You don't have to fix it.
For the next few minutes,
There's nothing to solve.
Just let yourself arrive.
Find a way to sit.
Or lie down.
That lets your body be held.
And when you're ready,
Let your eyes close or soften your gaze.
Resting on a single point in front of you.
Let's begin with the breath.
Breathing slowly through your nose.
Hold for just a moment at the top.
And let it go with a soft sigh through the mouth.
Again,
Breathe in.
Nsaira.
One more time.
Hold it.
And release everything you don't need to carry into the next breath.
Now let the breath return to its own rhythm.
No need to manage it.
Notice that part of your mind may still be somewhere else.
And tomorrow.
In the list.
In the thing you're afraid you're forgetting.
That's all right.
The mind does that when there's a lot.
We're not going to argue with them.
We're just going to come back into something smaller.
And something closer.
So let's start with what's actually here.
Your breath.
Not changing it.
And just feeling it.
Feeling the air moving in.
Feeling the air moving out.
This one breath.
Only this one.
Now let your attention widen a little.
Into your body.
Feeling the weight of yourself.
The places where you feel heavy.
Your shoulders,
Your jaw.
The space behind the eyes.
You don't have to relax them.
And just simply notice.
Now the chair.
Or the floor.
Or the bed beneath you.
Feel where your body meets it.
Notice that it's holding you.
You're not falling.
You don't have to hold yourself up right now.
And something is underneath you.
In its study.
Peel your feet.
Your legs.
Wherever they rest.
And now sound.
Whatever you can hear.
Maybe something far away.
Maybe something close.
Maybe the quiet itself.
You don't have to listen for anything.
And just allow the sound to arrive.
And let it go.
Notice what's happening.
A moment ago,
Your mind was holding all of it.
Everything.
The whole weight of the day,
The week.
The life.
And now you're not forcing.
You're just here.
New breath.
Body.
The ground.
One sound.
One moment.
Here's something overwhelm doesn't want you to know.
You were never actually being asked to carry all of it at once.
That was the mind,
Stacking into a single impossible pile.
But you don't have to live in the pile.
You live here.
In this breath.
In this moment.
In this moment right now is something you can meet.
So let yourself stop,
Just for now.
Stop trying to solve everything.
Notice what happens when you set that down,
Not forever,
Just for these few breaths.
Nothing is being neglected.
The things that need you will still be there.
But not right now.
Not in this moment.
There's nothing you have to figure out.
Rest here for a while with your breath.
With your body.
With the ground beneath you.
One moment at a time.
When you're ready,
Let the sounds of the room come back.
Let a little movement return to your fingers.
To your hands.
Maybe a slower,
Deeper breath.
And know that you can come back to this.
Anytime the day gets loud.
You don't have to carry tomorrow while you're still living today.
You only have to be here.
For this one moment at a time.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
I'll see you again tomorrow,
Sweet soul.
