Hello sweet soul,
Welcome to your daily meditation.
My name's Julianne Arce,
And I'll be your guide during this time.
I invite you to find a comfortable place to be,
Whether that's sitting or lying down.
Once you're there,
Take a slow breath in,
And a soft breath out.
Let your body begin to settle exactly as it is.
No need to adjust anything right now.
No need to improve the moment.
Just allow yourself to arrive.
Feel the simple weight of your body,
Wherever you are supported.
The chair beneath you,
The floor beneath your feet,
The bed beneath your back.
Let gravity begin to do what it naturally does,
Holding you,
Steadying you.
You don't have to hold yourself up quite so much in this moment.
Take another slow breath in through the nose,
And exhale gently through the mouth.
Tonight,
Or today,
We are not trying to become anything new.
We are simply returning.
Returning to the place in you that has always known how to be steady.
Bring your awareness now into the center of your chest,
Not forcing anything.
Just noticing the space there,
The quiet rhythm of your breath moving in and out.
This is one of the doorways back to yourself,
And from here,
Gently begin to notice your body,
Not in pieces,
But as one connected field of sensation.
Feel the length of your spine,
The weight of your hips,
And the position of your shoulders.
There is nothing to fix.
We are only listening.
Now bring your awareness down into your lower body,
Your hips,
Your thighs,
Your legs,
And your feet.
Feel where your body makes contact with the surface beneath you.
This is grounding.
Not forcing yourself to relax,
But allowing your body to remember the support that is already here.
If the mind is busy,
That's okay.
If thoughts are moving quickly,
That's okay.
You don't have to stop the mind to come back to center.
You only need to give the body a little more attention.
Take a slow breath in,
And as you exhale,
Imagine the weight of your body dropping just a few percent more.
Not heavy in a stuck way.
Heavy in a supported way,
Like the earth itself is steady beneath you.
Feel your jaws soften,
And let the tongue rest gently in the mouth.
Unclench the small places that have been working all day,
Without you even noticing.
Good.
Now gently bring your awareness to the soles of your feet.
Imagine if it feels natural that your breath could travel all the way down to the feet,
And back up again.
Inhale,
Breathe traveling down the body.
Exhale,
Breath rising softly back up.
No force.
Just a gentle wave of awareness moving through you.
And this is how we return.
Not by pushing the mind,
But by inhabiting the body again.
Notice now the back of your body,
The part of you that is being fully supported right now.
The back of the head,
The shoulders,
The back ribs,
The hips.
Let the whole back body receive this support that is already here.
You don't have to brace.
You don't have to anticipate.
You don't have to stay one step ahead of everything.
In this moment,
You are allowed to be right here.
Breathing,
Supported,
Enough.
Take another slow breath in,
And a longer breath out.
Feel the nervous system begin to downshift.
Maybe subtly.
Maybe slowly.
But the body is listening.
Now gently return your awareness again to the center of your chest.
Your center.
Not the busy mind.
Not the long list.
Not the momentum of the day.
Your center.
The quiet place in you that remains steady,
Even when life moves quickly around you.
Rest your attention here for a few more breaths.
Inhale soft and easy.
Exhale slow and complete.
The mind wanders,
That's natural.
Just gently guide it back.
Doing this again and again.
This is the practice.
Not perfection,
But return.
Feel how the breath moves without your effort.
Feel how the body continues regulating.
Without you managing every detail.
There is a deeper intelligence at work here,
And you are allowed to trust it.
Let the shoulders soften another small degree.
Let the belly release.
Let the space behind the eyes grow quiet.
You are not behind.
You are not missing anything.
You are simply returning to your center.
From this place,
The nervous system remembers how to settle.
The breath remembers how to slow.
The body remembers how to feel safe enough for this moment.
Stay here for a few more quiet breaths.
And when you're ready,
Take one slightly deeper breath in,
And a slow,
Steady breath out.
Gently begin to notice the space around you again.
The room.
The air on your skin.
The surface beneath you.
But see if you can keep a thread of awareness anchored in your center,
As you do.
You can move through your life from this place steady,
Grounded,
And present.
Take your time reorienting.
And when it feels natural,
Softly open the eyes,
Or simply drift into the next quiet moment of your day or evening.
You have returned.
Thank you for allowing me to guide you through this practice.
I look forward to seeing you again tomorrow.
