Hello,
Welcome to this guided meditation inspired by a butterfly.
I invite you to find a comfortable place to settle in.
You can be seated or lying down.
Whatever allows your body to feel held,
Safe,
And at rest.
Allow your hands to fall open in your lap or down by your sides.
Whatever is most comfortable.
Palms facing upward,
As if you were receiving something precious.
Softly close your eyes or lower their gaze.
And for just a moment,
Do absolutely nothing.
Let everything be exactly as it is.
You And I invite you to take one long slow breath in through your nose.
And then let it go I invite you to begin to notice the weight of your body.
The places where you were held.
By the floor.
A chair by the earth beneath you.
Feel that support.
You don't have to hold yourself up right now.
The Earth has you.
Your supports have you.
And then bring awareness to your shoulders.
Invite them gently without forcing anything to drop just a little.
Now your jaw.
But it's often.
Your forehead.
Allow that space between your brows to grow smooth like still water.
Imagine a soft luminous violet light gathering just behind your eyes.
Like the inside of a flower petal pulled up by the sun.
Warm.
Still.
Beautiful.
And take a breath in through your nose.
Slow and easy.
And then let the exhale come out like a quiet sigh.
No effort,
Just release.
Let's try that again.
Inhaling.
And then exhale even slower.
You And when ready,
Returning to your own natural rhythm of breathing.
And gently allow your imagination to carry you somewhere soft.
You find yourself standing at the edge of a sun-drenched meadow.
Airs more.
There is a light breeze moving through the grasses.
You can almost feel it on your skin.
The meadow stretches out before you.
Wild with color.
All grasses sway in slow waves.
Wildflowers bloom in shades of amber and rose.
Soft periwinkle blue.
Perhaps there's yellows and whites.
You decide.
Sort of wildflowers are there.
Cottony of colors.
The sky above is the pale,
Gentle blue of early summer.
Dotted with clouds so light they seem to float there simply for the pleasure of it.
I invite you to take a breath in.
Let that sky blue enter you.
You look cool and open.
Opening something in your chest.
Expansion.
Like space appearing where there was lightness.
There is nowhere to go.
Nothing to do.
You are simply here.
Present in this meadow that exists just for you,
Just for now.
You Breathe in the meadow.
And breathe out whatever you carried here.
Whatever doesn't serve you,
Let it go.
And then without announcing itself,
Without any fanfare at all.
A butterfly drifts into your field of vision.
Comes from somewhere to your left.
Riding a current of air can barely feel.
Moving with such effortless grace that just watching it something in you begins to relax.
Imagining it.
Notice its wings.
They open and close in a rhythm that feels almost like breathing.
As if the butterfly itself is practicing the same breath you are practicing.
The wings are the color of rose quartz.
Ill gold.
Edged in the softest charcoal.
And when the light catches them.
There is an iridescence.
Lavender.
Than green.
Than something like moonlight.
It's impossible to name.
Watch how it moves.
It doesn't push.
It doesn't force.
It simply yields to the currents around it.
And in that yielding,
It looks exactly where it needs to go.
There's freedom in that.
You wisdom.
I'm just like the butterfly.
The butterfly's wings opening and closing.
Uploading,
Releasing.
Imagine your breath like that of the butterfly.
Breathing in.
Bring me a sting.
I invite you to let the butterfly drift closer.
It has no fear of you.
Seems drawn to the stillness you've become.
And as it approaches,
Something begins to shift.
You notice.
Gently without surprise.
That you can feel what it feels.
You can feel the air moving beneath you.
The way each breath,
Each current,
Is an invitation rather than an obstacle.
Your whole body begins to feel lighter.
The weight you came in with.
Worry to do list.
The conversations running on repeat in the back of your mind.
All of it becoming softer.
I saw it.
That's urgent.
I invite you to take a deep breath in.
Feel your chest become the green and gold of metalite.
Alive.
Spacious.
Part of something larger than yourself.
And on the exhale.
Let yourself be as light as the butterfly.
As unbothered by gravity.
It's free.
You don't have to become anything.
You already are.
Right here.
In this breath.
In this body.
In this moment.
You are already whole.
The butterfly knows this about you.
It has always known.
You are light.
You are free.
You belong to this moment.
You Allow your awareness to drop now.
Deep into the center of your chest.
Into the heart space.
And notice if you're willing.
That this butterfly you've been watching is not too separate from you.
It is you.
Inside each of us is something that has transformed.
That has come through the dark.
Through the tight and formless place of becoming.
Merged with wings we didn't know we had.
You have done that.
In ways seen and unseen.
In ways you may not yet recognize.
You have transformed.
Feel a warm golden light begin at the center of your chest.
Or 88 Outward.
Down your arms.
To your fingertips.
Down your legs.
To your feet.
Back up through your throat.
You the crown of your head.
You are glowing from the inside.
And wrinkles.
And the color of late afternoon sun through honey.
Just rest here for a moment.
In this golden warmth.
In this knowing.
There's nothing to prove.
Nowhere to arrive.
You have already arrived.
Breathe into the gold.
Rest in your wholeness.
Now,
Imagine that the butterfly lands ever so lightly.
On your open palms.
You can barely feel its weight.
It's nearly nothing.
And yet its presence is unmistakable.
You don't grip?
You don't hold.
You simply receive.
This as the teaching.
This is the practice.
Hold your life the way you're holding this butterfly With such lightness with such care.
Not clutching what you love,
Not resisting what is difficult.
But receiving it all.
Moment by moment.
With open hands.
Breathe in that softness now.
Rose Quart Wings.
The cool of the shade the warmth beneath it.
The trust between you and this small miraculous creature.
Allow it to fill you.
And then gently,
Gratefully.
The butter of my lips from the palm.
And drifts back into the meadow.
You watch it go without sadness.
Because you know it has given you something.
Something you will carry without even trying.
Something you already are.
Now I invite you to begin to let the meadows soften.
Gently at the edges.
The colors,
The warmth,
The sweetness of the air.
Let it stay with you as you begin to come back.
Back to the room.
Back to the feeling of your body.
Feeling the supports.
Invite you to wiggle your fingers.
Your toes.
You taking a breath that's a little deeper a little fuller bingo If your eyes are still closed,
You may want to flutter them open gently and softly.
Returning to the world.
To this moment.
The ordinary life that is quietly always extraordinary.
Allowing the light gently in.
Let yourself land back here the way a butterfly lands.
Let yourself land back here.
The way a butterfly lands with ease.
With grace.
Gentleness.
You are here.
You are well.
You are in this moment exactly where you need to be.
May you float gently through this day.
Carry your wings lightly.
Trust the current.
Remember your wholeness.
