Take a moment to pause,
Let everything around you soften,
Let your shoulders drop,
Your jaw loosen,
Let your breath return to you.
Inhale slowly,
And exhale gently.
There's nothing you need to do right now,
No one you need to be,
You are safe in this moment.
Let your awareness move inward,
Notice the rhythm of your breath,
In and out,
A tide that always knows its way home.
If your thoughts are racing,
That's okay,
You don't need to stop them,
Just notice them passing,
Like clouds in a wide open sky.
Bring your attention back to your body,
Feel the weight of your hands,
The ground beneath you,
The air touching your skin.
You are grounded,
You are here,
You are allowed to rest.
Whatever tension you're holding,
You can let it go,
Bit by bit,
Breathe it out,
Let it melt into the earth.
You are not your anxiety,
You are the stillness underneath it,
You are the silence between each thought.
Stay here,
And with each breath you return,
With each exhale you soften,
With each moment you are more free.
Open your eyes,
Or stay in the stillness a little longer,
This peace belongs to you.
