Welcome,
Dear one.
This is your time to rest.
You have done enough for today.
You've given,
Cared,
Thought,
And carried.
This is Carolyn Wallace,
Here to guide you into a beautiful night's sleep.
And now,
All that's left is peace.
Allow yourself to settle.
Let your body sink into the bed beneath you.
Feel the soft support holding you completely.
You are safe now.
Nothing else is needed.
Good night.
Begin by taking a slow,
Deep breath in,
And exhale gently through your mouth.
Breathe in calm,
And breathe out any remaining tension.
Allow your breath to find its own rhythm.
You don't have to control it.
Simply feel the soft wave of your breath moving in and out.
In this rhythm,
Your body begins to remember how to rest.
With each breath,
You are arriving deeper into peace.
Now bring your attention to the top of your head.
Feel a gentle warmth there,
Like the touch of soft moonlight.
Let that warmth flow down over your forehead,
The muscles around your eyes,
Your cheeks relax,
Your jaw releases,
Unhinging just enough to let the breath flow easily,
The neck,
The shoulders.
They release the weight they've carried all day.
Let the warmth move down through your arms,
Into your hands and fingers.
You might feel a faint tingling,
That's calmness settling in.
Now through the chest and belly.
Each exhale melts away tension.
Down through the hips and legs,
Knees and ankles,
All the way to the tips of your toes.
Your whole body is now bathed in stillness.
Imagine you're lying on calm,
Open water beneath a gentle night sky.
The air is cool and quiet.
The stars above shimmer softly,
Not far away,
But close,
Like friends watching over you.
The water holds you effortlessly.
You don't need to move.
You don't need to think.
You are floating,
Supported,
Completely safe.
Each breath becomes a wave,
Rocking you deeper into calm.
You drift a little farther from the shore,
And a little closer to peace.
Everything that once felt urgent fades into distance.
You are surrounded by stillness,
Floating,
Breathing.
Your breath is slower now.
Your thoughts quieter.
Your body feels heavy,
But your heart feels light.
There is nothing to do.
Just this beautiful stillness embracing you completely.
With each breath,
You drift deeper.
The water,
The stars,
The silence,
They merge into one peaceful night.
Let go completely.
You are safe.
You are loved.
You are free to rest.
Drift deeper.
You are floating now,
Weightless and safe.
Each breath carries you a little further into stillness.
Feel the water beneath you,
Soft,
Cool.
It moves with you.
Feel it breathes with you.
Every sound,
Every thought becomes part of this gentle sea.
Let go of everything that asks for your attention.
The day has fallen away.
You are surrounded by peace,
Floating,
Breathing,
Drifting deeper.
And deeper.
There is nothing to reach for,
Nothing to sow.
Only the saltness of this night holding you completely.
Sleep.
Each time you exhale,
You drift deeper into calm,
Deeper into rest,
Deeper into sleep.
Feel yourself merging with the quiet around you,
The air,
The rhythm of your breath.
There is no difference between inside and outside.
You are calm itself.
You are stillness.
You are peace.
Thoughts may float by like clouds across a silent sky.
Simply watch them drift and fade.
Nothing to hold,
Nothing to follow.
Your body is light,
Your mind clear,
You are resting in infinite calm,
Drifting deeper now.
The breath so slow,
So steady,
Floating between wake and dream.
There is only peace.
You are safe.
You are loved.
You are free to rest,
Drifting deeper,
Deeper still.
