Hello and thank you for joining me today for this meditation.
Find a comfortable seat or lay down however feels best for you.
And let's take a long and slow deep breath in and as you exhale feel your whole body soften.
Breathe in and exhale.
As you breathe in inhale calm to your body and as you exhale feel your whole body relax,
Release and let go.
Imagine a warm golden light surrounding you,
Filling the space around you.
It feels like the morning sun bringing peace and warmth.
Imagine that you're slowly walking along a path.
You see yourself stepping forward surrounded by nature.
Maybe you hear the soft rustling of the leaves in the breeze or the cheerful chirping of the birds.
With every step you feel your body moving closer towards a calm and safe place within.
And as you follow this path you come across your own sanctuary,
A peaceful space that feels very welcoming.
Maybe a sunlit meadow or a cozy garden.
Or the beautiful beach.
Wherever you are notice what's around you.
Notice the colours,
The scents and the warmth of the sunlight as it filters through the trees.
You feel so relaxed here that you sit down,
You lay back,
You take a deep breath.
Letting the peace of your sanctuary fill you with calm.
As you breathe in imagine drawing in a refreshing energy from the sunlight and as you exhale let go of any heaviness or any tension.
Inhale a refreshing sunlight and exhale letting go.
With every breath feel a little lighter,
More relaxed,
More at ease.
Spend a few moments here allowing the sunlight to breathe with you.
Golden warmth filling you on every inhale.
Tension melting,
Softening on every exhale.
And please do stay here for as long as it suits you.
When you are ready slowly begin to awaken carrying this glow of the sunshine and the peace with you.
Let's take one more deep breath in and exhale fully.
Know that you can return to this calm place anytime that you need to your own sanctuary.
