Welcome to this night time body scan rooted in the ancient Celtic connection to nature.

As you prepare for sleep let the natural elements guide you into a state of deep relaxation and peace.

This meditation will take you on a journey through a sacred landscape helping you to release tension and to ease into sleep with the wisdom and the comfort of the natural world.

Begin by finding a comfortable position in your bed,

Taking your time,

Finding your cozy nest.

Let the eyes close gently and take a deep breath in through your nose,

Filling your lungs completely,

Hold for a moment and then slowly,

Slowly exhale through your mouth,

Releasing the days tension.

Repeat this slow reading pattern a few times now,

Allowing your body to relax more and more with each breath.

Deep breath in through the nose,

Filling the lungs completely,

Holding and a long slow exhale through the mouth.

Feel yourself supported by the earth,

Ready to connect with the elements of nature.

Begin by becoming aware of your feet and legs.

Imagine you are standing on sacred ground surrounded by ancient stones,

Like those found in the stone circles of Celtic lands.

Feel the solid grounding energy of these stones beneath your feet,

Rooting you to the earth.

As you breathe,

Allow any tension in your feet and legs to sink into the earth where it can be absorbed and transformed by the timeless wisdom of the stones.

Now shift your focus to your lower back,

Your abdomen and hips.

Picture yourself near a clear flowing stream in a lush green forest.

The water gently moves over smooth rocks.

It's soothing sound calming your mind and body.

Imagine the cool refreshing water flowing through your lower body,

Washing away any tightness or discomfort.

With each breath,

Feel this stream purifying and relaxing your muscles,

Leaving you refreshed and at ease.

Move your attention to your chest and your heart area.

Imagine yourself now sitting by a warm hearth,

The fire crackling softly.

The hearth has been a symbol of home,

Warmth and protection in Celtic tradition.

Feel now the gentle heat from the fire warming your chest,

Filling your heart with peace and comfort.

With every inhale,

Draw in the warmth and love of the hearth and with every exhale,

Release any stress or heaviness from your heart.

Letting the flames transform it into light.

Bring your awareness to your arms,

Shoulders and hands.

Imagine you are in an ancient forest,

Surrounded by tall majestic trees.

Feel a gentle breeze moving through the branches,

Causing them to sway gracefully.

Visualise this breeze softly brushing over your arms and shoulders,

Lifting away any burdens or tension.

As you breathe out,

Let the wind carry away all the weight from your shoulders,

Leaving you feeling light and free,

Like the leaves dancing in the wind.

Now focus on your neck,

Your face and your head.

Picture yourself lying on soft moss beneath a clear moonlit sky.

The moon casts a gentle silver light across the landscape,

Illuminating the night with a peaceful glow.

Feel the cool,

Calming energy of the moonlight on your face,

Relaxing every muscle,

Softening your jaw and easing your thoughts.

And with each breath,

Let the serene light of the moon wash over your face and your head,

Bringing you into a state of deep relaxation and stillness.

Finally,

Imagine your entire body resting in a sacred grove,

Surrounded now by the ancient wisdom of trees,

Stones and stars.

The grove is a place of safety and connection,

Where the earth and the sky meet.

Sink into the sacredness of this space,

As you breathe now,
