Welcome to this mindful pause.

Take a few breaths just to arrive in this very moment.

Feel the inhale and exhale.

Let your shoulders relax and let your attention settle.

Now gently bring to mind something or someone that matters to you.

It could be a person,

A pet,

An object or even a higher power.

Something that connects you to meaning.

Notice how your breath feels as you hold this in your awareness.

You might feel a softening,

A sense of clarity,

Maybe even a slight shift.

Let this feeling guide your next few breaths,

Staying here just for a few more moments.

And if your mind starts to wander,

Gently return to what matters to this breath,

To this very moment.

Now take three slow breaths.

Inhale gently through the nose and exhale slowly through the mouth.

Again,

Inhale and exhale.

One more time,

Inhale together and exhale.

Notice what feels different now,

Even slightly.

And when you are ready,

Simply move into whatever's next with a little more presence.
