Good morning.
This brief guided meditation will help you to start your day with energy,
Purpose and focus.
So you might have just woken up,
You might still be in bed or you might already be out and about but for now I invite you to make yourself comfortable either sitting up on your bed or on a chair,
On a floor,
Whatever you feel the most comfortable sitting during this morning session.
Just make sure your spine is nice and straight and your feet is either touching the ground or however it feels most comfortable for you today.
Just place your hands on your lap.
You can either have the palms facing up if you really need more energy or you can place them facing down on your knees if you want to feel more grounded this morning.
So I invite you to gently close down your eyes and just settle your breath and just gently leave behind last night's sleep or any dreams you might have had and just bring yourself to the here and now.
Drop your shoulders away,
Your ears and feel the contact points between yourself and maybe your back is touching some pillows on your back,
Sitting upright or your chair or just your clothes on your skin.
Feel the surface beneath you,
Your weight,
The weight of your body pressing down and your feet might be touching the ground.
Just notice any sounds around you and don't judge them,
Just notice them and let them pass by.
What's the furthest sound you can hear?
And again just notice and let it pass by.
Now bring your attention back to yourself,
To your breath.
Just feel the breath,
The air entering your body,
Your belly and chest expands in all this fresh air.
And just feel the breath,
The air entering your body,
Your belly and chest expands in all this fresh air.
And when you breathe out,
Breathe out completely.
And for a few moments just notice how your breath and the air enters your body,
Belly and chest expands.
And when you breathe out,
Belly and chest just falls and completely empties.
So follow the way of the breath and the air in your body for the next few moments.
Thoughts might pop in your head,
Maybe you're just thinking about something else.
Maybe about the day ahead,
Your to-do list.
And when a thought pops in your mind,
Just let it go,
Let it pass by.
The same way we did with the sounds.
And return to your breath.
Again,
Any thoughts coming to your mind,
Just let them pass by.
And now bring the attention to your body.
And we're going to visualize energy,
Receiving energy,
For your day ahead,
That allows you to focus and be purposeful and intentional throughout your day.
So you might even feel some energy sparkling,
Bubbling throughout your body.
Maybe some tingling in your hands or feet.
Now we're going to ensure that your whole body is energized.
So just imagine there's some source of energy is entering from above into your head.
Maybe it's sparkling golden light,
If it's easier.
Into your head,
Maybe it's sparkling golden light,
If it's easier to visualize that.
Just imagine it's flowing down your body and filling up each part of your body and energizes every cell,
Through the top of your head,
Through your brain,
Flowing down your face,
Back of the head,
Neck.
Just feel the energy flowing down through your shoulders,
Into your arms,
Hands,
Fingers,
Through your chest,
Back,
Belly,
All the way down through your hips,
Legs,
Legs,
Knees,
Lower leg,
Feet and toes.
So feel your whole body glowing with energy,
Sparkling.
And maybe at this point,
If you want,
I invite you,
Maybe to set an intention or just think about one thing you are grateful for right now,
At this moment.
It could be you're grateful that you have taken some time for yourself,
To energize your body,
Clear your mind.
Or it could be anything else,
That you have a roof over your head,
Your family,
Your job,
Whatever else could be.
The healthy breakfast you might eat this morning,
To be able to have the time to take care of your mind and body with regular meditation.
And we will close our practice with three rounds of deep breath,
In through your nose,
And out through the mouth.
In through the nose,
And out through the mouth.
In through the nose,
And out through the mouth.
And one last breath in together,
And out through the mouth.
Now you may open your eyes.
And I thank you for your time to meditate with me this morning.
Have a beautiful day.
Thank you.
