Hello,
Beautiful,
Amazing human.
Welcome to this sacred space.
In this audio,
I want to take you on a journey with sacred horse medicine.
Horse medicine is central to North American Plains Indian traditions and Eurasian Mongolian shamanism.
And in these cultures,
The horse is not just an animal.
It is a sacred partner,
A spiritual guide,
And a symbol of freedom.
Stamina,
And personal power.
For the indigenous nations of the Great Plains,
The arrival of the horse completely transformed their way of life and spiritual practices.
For example,
Horse dances and ceremonies were traditionally performed to heal the sick or prepare for war.
There was a rich tradition of horse medicine with secret rituals,
Songs,
And sacred bundles specifically dedicated to the horse to bring protection,
Tracking skills,
And healing to the communities.
Some nations integrated the horse deeply into their spiritual cosmologies,
Viewing the horse as a conduit of divine power.
And in Mongolian and Tibetan spiritual traditions,
The wind horse represents the human soul,
Vitality,
And spiritual energy.
The Northern Cheyenne have long mapped horse medicine into their sacred hoop or medicine wheel.
They teach that the four legs of the horse are the four directions.
And by bringing the horse archetype into our spiritual practice,
We are honoring a universal natural law.
Using the horse's heart field as a somatic compass to find our own center.
While the medicine wheel gives us the map of consciousness.
Horse medicine provides the horsepower to actually move through it.
Traditionally,
It was taught that the four legs of the horse represent the four directions of the medicine wheel.
The horse's head points towards Father Sky.
Its tail points towards Grandmother Earth.
And when a human sits on the horse's back,
They are completely centered in the middle of the wheel.
You see,
The horse is literally a living medicine wheel.
And when upon the horse's back,
You are completely centered and grounded.
In all seven directions,
Including the horse's body.
Which is the seventh direction,
The earthly direction.
So let us begin by calling in sacred space.
Deep breath in,
Exhale.
Close your eyes.
If it feels comfortable to you,
Place your hands on your heart.
Physically face the directions with me or maybe just point your hand to the direction.
We're going to start facing east honoring the direction of new beginnings,
Clarity,
And the spring and the new dawn.
Grandfather Creator,
We look to the east,
The direction of yellow.
We call upon the medicine of the East,
The spirit of the newborn foal.
Teaches the pure,
Unfiltered presence of the baby horse.
Grant us the clarity of the morning sun so that we may see our path without judgment.
And remind us to approach our lives with a clean,
Open heart.
Now turning to the south,
Honoring growth,
Physical vitality,
Passion,
And the summer,
The direction of red.
We call upon the yearling.
The young horse full of fire,
Curiosity,
And testing of boundaries.
We ask that you give us the stamina and the physical power of the South.
Teach us how to channel our raw energy into purpose.
May we learn the natural laws of gravity,
Movement,
And boundaries.
Walking with respect for the herd and the earth.
Now turning to the west.
Honoring reflection.
The setting sun.
Emotional depth,
And autumn.
The direction of black of darkness.
We call upon.
The mature horse.
The stallion,
The lead mare.
Because west is the direction of the mirror and the horse cannot lie.
It reflects exactly what we carry inside.
And I ask for the courage to face our own reflections.
Cleanse us of fear and hidden pride,
And teach us absolute inner alignment,
So we may lead our lives with true,
Unharnessed integrity,
Just like the horse.
Now turning to the North,
Honoring winter,
The ancestors,
Mastery,
And spiritual wisdom.
The direction of white.
We call upon the elder horse,
The one who carries the memory of the ancient tracks.
North is the realm of survival,
Resilience,
And wisdom.
I ask that you give us the quiet majesty of the winter herd.
Help us to connect our human spirits to the great spirit of the Horse Nation,
Anchoring the wisdom of our ancestors deep into our bones.
Now,
Bringing your attention.
To the centering and grounding of the horse's energy.
We look to Father Sky above,
And we look to Grandmother Earth below.
Who teaches us her natural rhythm through the beating of the horse's hooves.
We stand in the center of the wheel,
Balanced on the spine of life.
AH HO.
Now taking a deep,
Slow breath in.
And as you exhale.
.
.
Let your physical body settle into the ground.
Beneath you.
Eyes still closed,
Breathe deeply into your belly.
Allow yourself to stay in this sacred space with the energy of the horse.
Feel the pounding.
Of the horse's hooves as the ground begins to vibrate beneath your feet.
And as you look into the distance.
Out of a cloud of dust steps a magnificent,
Powerful,
Beautiful white horse.
Hearts.
Look at this creature.
Look at this amazing creature.
But it's a long,
Long,
Long,
Long,
Long,
Long,
Long,
Long,
Long,
Long,
Long,
Long,
Long,
Long,
Long,
Long,
Long,
Long,
Long,
Long.
Slightly moving in a light breeze.
It's not just beautiful,
It's majestic.
It is a living,
Breathing medicine wheel.
Thanks.
To the ground.
By the four directions.
Now slowly.
Watch as this horse approaches you.
And maybe you want to reach out your right hand.
And as you do,
The horse lowers its head,
Sniffs your hand with a sense of acceptance and love.
And as you visualize yourself standing before this majestic,
Yet quiet,
Rounded presence.
Notice the spirit horse is standing steady.
And rooted at the intersection.
Of all directions.
Feel its strength.
Feel into its stillness and the grounded safety of this sacred vessel.
Let us begin the journey around the wheel of the horse's forelegs.
Calling in the medicine of each stage of horse wisdom.
Continue breathing in.
Slowly exhale.
Turn your inner sight towards the horse's front right leg.
Anchored firmly in the east,
The direction of the color yellow.
This is the realm of the rising sun.
It's the realm of radiant clarity and the spirit of the baby foal.
Feel the pure,
Untainted presence of this energy.
The foal carries no ancient stories,
No judgments.
And no baggage.
The full is completely present.
And lives entirely in the now.
As this golden light fills your breath.
Let your mind become quiet,
Clear,
And completely open to fresh,
Brand-new energy.
Now gently shift your awareness.
To the front left leg.
Rooted deep in the direction of the South.
The direction of the color red.
This is the Realm of the Yearling.
The young horse that is full of fire and passion and raw physical vitality.
Because you see,
Horses are master somatic regulators.
They do not hold on to trauma or baggage.
And when a storm passes in their life,
They just simply shake it off.
They snort.
They release it.
And keeping that in your mind,
I want you to allow your own body to sigh.
To release.
Any and all tension that you might be carrying.
And drop any stagnant energy,
Any heavy burdens straight down through your feet into the earth.
Feel the vibrant physical power of the young horse energy.
Grounded,
Passionate,
And fiercely alive.
Continue breathing.
Gently move your gaze to the back left leg.
Standing deep in the shadow of the West,
The direction of the color black.
This is The Realm.
Of the mature horse,
The lead mare,
And the sacred mare.
The West is where we step into the quiet.
Mist to face the shadows.
Because a horse cannot lie,
It demands absolute energetic integrity.
Taking a deep breath in,
Staying grounded.
I want you to look into the gentle,
Dark eyes of your spirit horse.
Gazing at your horse in the gradual darkness of the West.
I want you to ask yourself.
Are you carrying a hidden emotion?
Perhaps an unspoken fear?
And is it gently mirroring back to you in this moment through the horse?
It's not about right or wrong or good or bad.
Just accept it as it is.
There's no need to turn away from it.
Face it with absolute truth and meet it with total honesty.
Feel the immense power of standing in your unfiltered,
Authentic frequency of Horse Medicine.
Feel the immense silent power that comes from standing in your truth.
Finally.
Let your attention travel to the back right leg.
Extending into the Great Lake.
The direction of the color white.
This is the realm of the Elder Horse.
Ancestral wisdom and timelessness.
Today,
You are not just walking this path on foot.
Now you're going to ask your spirit horse for permission to get on its back.
As your spirit horse accommodates you.
Slowly throw your right leg over your horse's back.
And pull yourself up onto the back of your sacred white spirit horse.
Gently aligning with the Earth's direction.
As you sit up straight,
Notice how you are perfectly centered in the middle of the sacred wheel.
Feel the massive stamina in your horse's chest between your legs.
Feel its breath sinking with your breath.
You are crossing the veils of linear time effortlessly.
Sitting in the presence of the horse.
You are sitting past your limitations.
You are surpassing any ancestral blocks,
Patterns,
Or limiting beliefs.
You now have the sacred horsepower to navigate your greatest spiritual journey.
Take that in.
Take a deep breath,
Anchoring.
In the divine masculine of stallion power.
And the Divine Feminine of Mere Wisdom.
And the medicine of the four colors and directions.
When you're ready.
Slowly lean over your horse's neck.
Resting your right cheek against its soft mane.
And wrap your arms around the horse's neck.
And quietly,
I want you to whisper in its ear.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
As you feel at one with the energy of the horse,
Gently push yourself back up into an upright position.
Feel into this sacred realm of the Elder Horse,
Of the wisdom and timelessness.
Deep breath in.
When you are ready.
Gently open your eyes and bring your awareness back into the physical space.
Taking another deep breath in and as you release it,
Maybe softly blow the air out through your lips,
Kind of like a horse does when they snort.
Releasing any final bits of tension and grounding your nervous system back into the room.
With deep reverence for sacred horse medicine and the four directions that hold us.
May you walk.
In the presence and wisdom of the horse.
