Hello and welcome to this guided relaxation session.
In this meditation we will begin by gently releasing tension from your face,
Moving through your body,
Easing each muscle into deep calming relaxation.
Along the way we will call on golden white light to help purify the energy field and support your body in letting go.
Let's start by getting comfortable in a quiet space,
Free from distractions.
Find a position that feels soothing,
Lying down is best for full body relaxation but you can do this sitting up or reclining in a chair if that's more comfortable.
Please do not listen while you are driving or operating machinery.
Place your hands wherever they feel most comfortable,
Either by your sides,
Resting on your lap or as I prefer I place one hand over the heart and one over the belly as this helps to connect with the breath and body.
Now gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose breathing deep into the belly and gently exhale through your mouth letting go of any tension or distractions as you breathe out.
Again take a deep breath in through the nose,
Hold for a moment at the top and slowly release through the mouth.
Allow your body to begin settling in to the present moment.
Take one more deep breath all the way into your belly and when you release fully drop your awareness into your body,
Let go of everything else as you begin this journey of relaxation.
Now bring your attention to your face,
Start by noticing the muscles in your forehead,
If you feel any tension there gently smooth out your forehead,
Imagine the space between your eyebrows softening as if a warm soothing wave is washing over it.
Envision a ball of glowing golden white light hovering above your head,
Beginning to purify your energy field as it moves downward,
This golden light is here to help you relax,
Clear any blockages and create a sense of peace.
As the golden white light moves through you now it gently dissolves any tension around your eyes,
Allow your eyelids to become heavy,
Soft and relaxed.
Feel the muscles in your cheeks and jaw begin to soften,
Relax the corners of your mouth and let your face rest in a peaceful natural expression.
Take a deep breath in now and as you do feel the golden white light expand inside you,
With each exhale feel any tension in your face melt away,
This light now flows downward through your neck and shoulders,
Letting your whole face soften into stillness now,
Being held by the warm healing light.
Feel this light gently holding you,
Relaxing you and helping you to release,
With each breath you drift deeper into relaxation.
Next bring your awareness to your neck,
Often tension collects here so let's soften this area gently,
Imagine your neck becoming lighter with each exhale,
Like a wave of relaxation spreading from the base of your skull down to your shoulders,
Feel the weight of your shoulders releasing as if your entire upper body is melting into the surface beneath you.
Moving down your arms now,
Feel them becoming heavier and more relaxed,
Imagine any tension draining from your shoulders,
Flowing down your upper arms,
Past your elbows and into your hands,
Feel your hands become soft,
Open and relaxed,
Any tension you've been holding flows out through your hands and returns to the earth for transmutation.
Allow yourself to release anything that no longer serves you,
Knowing the golden white light is helping you to cleanse and purify your energy.
Allow the light to move through you,
Gently guiding you into deeper relaxation.
Take a moment to notice how calm your body feels already,
Feel the difference between relaxed and tense areas and allow yourself to fully surrender to this healing energy.
Now shift your focus to your chest,
With each inhale feel your chest rise gently and with each exhale feel it soften,
Releasing any tightness or pressure.
Allow your ribs to expand as you breathe deeply into your heart space,
Visualize the golden white light expanding into your heart,
Filling it with warmth and healing energy.
As you exhale feel your chest and heart relax completely at ease.
Now bring your attention to your stomach,
If your stomach feels tight or clenched allow it to soften,
Feel the muscles in your abdomen release,
Spreading a sense of lightness and openness from your diaphragm down to your lower belly,
Let your back follow suit,
Starting from your upper back moving down through your mid back and to your lower back,
Feel your whole spine relax and with each breath any tension in your back slips away.
The golden white light continues moving through each part of your body,
Supporting your relaxation and helping you sink even deeper into peace.
You are fully supported by this light,
Feeling safe,
Calm and deeply relaxed.
Now shift your focus down to your legs,
Begin with your thighs,
Allowing them to release any tension they have been holding,
Feel the weight of your legs sink into the surface beneath you as if gravity is gently pulling them down.
Relax the muscles in your knees and your calves,
Feeling them becoming heavy and relaxed,
Allow your ankles to loosen and feel your feet soften too.
Feel the ground beneath you supporting the full weight of your body,
As you exhale surrender fully to the earth,
Knowing you are grounded and safe.
Now you are fully enveloped in this soft warm relaxing light,
Notice how your entire body now feels calm,
Heavy and deeply at ease.
Take a few deep breaths,
Letting the calmness wash over you,
Allowing any remaining tension to melt away.
As you continue to rest in this deep relaxation,
Know that you can return to this peaceful state whenever you need,
The golden white light is always available to you,
Ready to help you relax,
Clear your energy and bring you back to this place of calm.
Feel free to stay here for as long as you would like,
Or if you are ready to finish begin bringing your awareness back to the present moment,
Gently wiggle your fingers,
Toes and even your nose.
Take a deep breath in and when you are ready slowly open your eyes,
Feeling calm,
Rejuvenated and deeply at peace.
