To meditation dedicated to the new year of 2024.
In ideal practice for the first days of the year,
To reflect on the past year,
Appreciate what you have achieved and set your new goals for the upcoming year.
An opportunity to shape this year as you wish and be the writer of your own story.
Now please take a comfortable position,
Sitting on the floor or on a chair with a straight back.
Place your hands on your knees with the palms facing upwards to the sky.
Close your eyes and your lips gently.
Relax the muscles in your face and take a deep breath from the nose.
Breathe in and out.
Let go of every worry and let your body relax.
Let's bring the past year in your mind.
How was 2023 for you?
Try to bring back one or two really good memories that you enjoyed a lot.
It can be something big like a trip you did or a success in your job or something smaller like a good cup of coffee that you enjoyed in your favorite place with a friend Once you bring those memories,
Notice how did you feel while you were experiencing those moments.
What do you keep from those moments?
Appreciate what has happened in the past year that has formed you into the person you are today.
Now bring a memory that was not so pleasant for you this year.
You cannot always be happy.
We need to accept some more difficult moments too.
How did you feel during this hard moment?
What do you wish to keep from this situation?
What do you wish to leave behind?
Was there any learning you took for the future?
It is important to take a step back every now and then and think what is worth keeping and what is needed to be left behind.
The beginning of a new year,
A new month,
A new week or even a new day can always be a great opportunity for a easier start.
You keep only things that matter and they make you a better person.
Now that we did a recap of the past year,
Let's proceed with a new fresh start of 2024.
Before setting specific goals,
Whether you write them down one by one or start listing your resolutions,
Let's just take a breath.
Sometimes goal setting and new year goals can be overwhelming.
Take a deep breath from your nose.
In and out.
Straighten up your back.
Relax your shoulders.
And try to see your future self in 2024.
How do you look like?
Has something changed in your appearance?
Do you look happier?
Where do you see yourself in the next months?
Try to be spontaneous and let the image of your future self come from within.
Now think,
What is that your heart really wishes for yourself this year?
Leave logic and limitations outside and express your real desire.
Express it in a short sentence,
In present tense,
Like it's already happening.
Find this positive sentence and bring it to your mind.
Repeat it three times,
Like you really believe it.
You can keep this positive sentence as long as it serves you this year or create a new one once you feel like it.
You can follow the same process with every goal that you wish to accomplish this year.
Let it arrive from your heart and break out the best version of you.
Repeat it three times in your head and see if you really believe it.
Now bring one more time the future picture of you in 2024.
Try to see what you look like after you have fulfilled your positive sentence,
Your goal.
Appreciate all the progress you have made until today and be thankful for the time you took to work on yourself.
Now let's take one more deep breath in,
